  1. I wouldn't trade Robert for a Colson Montgomery headlined package either. I've already said I would take Acuña as a secondary piece, but as a headliner he doesn't move the needle for me. I watch a lot of Met's games and saw plenty of Acuña's September at bats. I think he ends up as a fine utility guy with speed, but I don't see MLB regular, and certainly not someone I see leading a trade package for an Allstar calibre CF.
  2. In a very small sample size.
  3. I'm not a BA subscriber, but I doubt they ignore his Syracuse numbers the way you want us all to.
  4. I'd take both Acuña and Baty, but I need a real headliner to move Robert.
  5. He was the Mets #12 prospect entering 2024, and after his season in AAA likely doesn't crack their top 10 in 2025.
  6. Baty is already 25 and has put up a -0.7 WAR and an OPS+ of 70 in 544 AB's across parts of three seasons. He's bordering on bust territory. Acuña had a nice showing in a very small sample size in the bigs, but that's not enough to overlook a bad 2024 at AAA. I wouldn't be horribly opposed to either as secondary pieces, but neither of these guys should headline a Robert trade.
  7. I sure hope Getz isn't dumb enough to trade Robert for Baty and Acuña...
  8. A shitty corporate name somehow just got worse.
  9. Where does one find such info? I'm curious how many hours I "watched".
  10. One last petty ‘f*** you’ to the fanbase?
  11. Probably USD, as MLB is based in the US. But all we have is a supposed dollar number and no other terms.
  12. If Bellinger puts up another mediocre year the NYY media would eat him alive. Good luck with that.
  13. Despite his build, he's been very durable. His 156 games played in 2023 was the lowest in a full season since his rookie year, in which he didn't until late April. $340M is a lot to reject, but we don't know the years or AAV. Shouldn't be too hard to match or best those numbers on the open market.
  14. Astros losing both Bregman and Tucker would make me so happy.
  15. This angle, if true, makes me think the Mariners are the better landing spot. Ichiro is a Seattle icon and is still heavily involved with the team, giving him a cultural connection. He'd be joining a stellar rotation where he'd just be another piece and not have to deal with the pressures of being the face of the franchise. They are also much closer to being a contending team than the White Sox, and don't have the baggage of being the worst team in history.
  16. Oh goodie, a Cubs fan trying to get a rise out of Soxtalk. Sad. Hey Bleed Cubbie Blue, come get you boy...
  17. You're a better person than I... 😂
  18. Hopefully he is what Madrigal was *supposed* to be. Never hurts to have a high BA/high OBP guy in the lineup.
  19. This makes me feel better. Didn't catch that Teel is LH. And maybe they finally found a legit RF too?
  20. Kind of how I'm feeling too. Better than previous Getz' returns, but I'm not blown away.
  21. Worst. Offense. Ever. Which is saying something after last season.
