  1. Hosting a downsized version of Soxfest there gives me visions of Hahn's infamous Reggie's chat. Better optics than canceling again, but this definitely feels like them limiting public scrutiny from fans.
  2. https://ramovachicago.com/
  3. That would be a first. And what a blessed day that would be.
  4. If they keep Sale, there isn't a real path to acquire Cease. Rodon didn't become this version until after being non-tendered. Crochet might not even be in the org as well.
  5. With an owner even more risk averse and reluctant to spend.
  6. Someone's head had to roll after another postseason flop.
  7. Ron Marinara Nachos
  8. It's hard for me to put much stock in winter league numbers, especially after the season Abreu had. I wish Pito the best, but I'd be leery of giving him a Major League deal.
  9. What are the chances CHSN offers a radio feed audio option with the streaming app? MLB.tv spoiled me and I'm 100% not paying extra for Schriff to insult my intelligence on a nightly basis.
  10. Is that the kind of site that you pay to not see? Cuz...
  11. Jerry's not the Boogeyman, it's Related! They made him do it!!
  12. I won't believe he's not returning until he signs a major league deal somewhere else.
  13. Look at this fantastic view of the lake! Screw the view from Clark & Roosevelt, sign me up for a view of the Metra Electric tracks, that massive empty truck lot, and about twelve lanes of Lake Shore Drive! Let's build on an even smaller plot of land, in a more isolated area, with virtually zero transit access, even further removed from any pre or post game entertainment options! There's also the issue that this land is already spoken for, and that the alderman would likely never sign off on the ballpark village Jerry desperately wants someone else to pay for. Pure. Brilliance.
  14. Please Getzy, name one real accomplishment from the 2024 season. I'll try to refrain from laughing in your face.
  15. Show of hands, who wouldn't take Judge on his current deal?
  16. If Getz sends prospects with Robert for Gavin fucking Lux, he is dumber than we even imagine.
  17. Saving JR money is his first priority.
  18. Except how do we build around him? How do we acquire foundational pieces to go with him? It is easy to say you don't want perpetual rebuilding. No one actually wants that. But building around him is a fools errand when the org refuses to do what it takes to actually build properly.
  19. If only he could hypnotize Jerry into selling, or spending. And himself into being able to evaluate talent.
  20. It's November, these are the types of moves they should be making. If he sucks or a roster spot is needed, he's an easy DFA. If he's any good, he's a flippable arm with control. Likely an inconsequential move, but nothing to be upset about.
  21. Making good hires on paper is fantastic. But he still assembled the worst team in modern baseball history believing it would be an improvement on the 101 loss team he took over. There is no sugarcoating how historically bad his roster decisions have been. He never should have been hired, and should have been fired at numerous points over the past year. His ineptitude will be forever etched in the record books, and nothing will ever erase that.
  22. Don’t think there’s any IF about it.
