Getz’s Hilarious Hypocrisy
This presumes that Getz is actually the decision maker and not merely a public facing middle manager following orders from above.

Keys to the White Sox future with Paul Janish...
The most maddening thing is that there is no reason why the Chicago White Sox couldn't draft & develop MLB talent regularly while also carrying a $150M payroll and be in the postseason hunt year after year. JR is the sole roadblock. His chairmanship has destroyed the team, the org, and the fanbase; possibly irreparably.

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
For a brief, glimmering moment we experienced joy... until the sudden realization that the outcome was predetermined and nothing had changed.

1 year anniversary of KW/RH firing
Well done Jerry, you replaced a bad GM with an even worse and managed to sink your team 20 games deeper in the hole...

MLB considering 6IP minimum for starters
Big picture, I need to know what MLB's end goal is with this. What are they hoping to achieve? Requiring pitchers to do something they aren't trained or conditioned for certainly isn't going to curtail injuries. So what does rule accomplish exactly?

MLB considering 6IP minimum for starters
I can't image this would go over well with the MLBPA.

Sox "considering Colson"
If he were ready for the show starting his clock might be of concern, but he is clearly not ready yet.
-
Sox "considering Colson"
Yes, let's rush the kid who is clearly not ready for the bigs. Clearly Getz is a sound decision maker and no one should question his (lack of) GM acumen...

The Dawning of the Age of Sizemore/ Sox vs Cubs game thread 7:10 first pitch 8/9/24
IDK, *NOT* Nicky Lopez leading off? This part. They all suck, I know, but in no world should Lopez hit above 8th, even on this historically bad team.

Stone not sure he will be back in 25, season "wearing on him"
Sounds like a man ready to hang them up and ride off into the sunset. It would be a welcome change if Gordon Beckham weren't waiting in the wings...

The Dawning of the Age of Sizemore/ Sox vs Cubs game thread 7:10 first pitch 8/9/24
Welp, there goes any inkling that Sizemore is smart about lineup construction, or that he has the autonomy to fill out his own lineup card...

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
I really don't understand your crusade to defend Getz. Most of the holdovers from the Hahn era have sucked, true, but so have most of Getz's moves to supposedly improve the 2024 roster. Both of these can be true. But to think that Getz bears no responsibility for where the 2024 White Sox are is absurd.

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
One single bad move in a vacuum isn't what sunk this team by 20+ games from the 101 loss team of 2023, it is the cumulative effect of many. Did Moldy sink the 2024 Sox alone? No. But did Moldy + the multitude of other mistakes Getz has made in 10 months on the job? 100% yes. Getz took a 101 loss team, reshaped the roster, and turned it into a 120+ loss team. How some think he bears no responsibility for that is baffling.

What does this team look like in an alternate timeline?
I think they would have finished better in 2021 and had a more favorable 1st round matchup. Would they have advanced? Who knows. I also think they would have been better than .500 in 2022, but would they have been good enough to make the post-season? Hahn's rebuild had so many holes and the lack of depth still would have haunted them. If anything, I think Hinch would have delayed the inevitable collapse. But I think we would still be facing a similar fate to where we find ourselves now.

Kgrittenburg would like the SOX TO FIRE Grifol and replace with Schumacher: NOT NEWS AS OF YET
Why would Shumacher jump from one dumpster fire to an even bigger dumpster fire, to work for a worse owner running the worst org in the sport, when he will be one of the most in-demand managerial candidates this winter?
