Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
If you mean Roger Clemens that is a good point (assuming you don't mind the steroid accusations). After JR signed Albert Belle the Hendricks brothers, Clemens' agents, reached out to the Sox and said he was interested in signing with them. Then G.M. Ron Schueler was quoted as saying "Roger Clemens is over the hill..." and signed Jamie Navarro instead. Ooops...

Jerry's ears are closed. It's 200 million (maybe) or you'll get nothing and like it! 😉

No indicators Sox are building around speed
And they won't have any until new ownership takes over.

Insanity...
Don't know if this will help his broadcasting ability but I give the man props for doing this: https://awfulannouncing.com/local-networks/white-sox-broadcaster-john-schiffren-does-cn-tower-edgewalk-after-dare.html

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
And you have to look at the reason why they were extended early, the Sox were trying to save money in the long run by locking guys in before they hit arbitration and eventually free agency.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
It would be a very interesting read.

This Day In Sox History...
June 23, 1956 – It was first of the two great fights on the field between Yankee and White Sox players; almost one year later, June 13, 1957, the second one took place. In this one Bob Grim (the late uncle to former Sox Director of Business Development and Broadcasting Bob Grim) threw one high and tight to Sox outfielder Dave Philley in the home half of the sixth inning. The ball glanced off Philley’s shoulder and bounced into his batting helmet knocking it off. Philley charged the mound as the benches and bullpens emptied. Both players swung at each other, as the rest of the teams held each other back. Order was restored after about 20 minutes. Philley was tossed from the game. Grim was allowed to stay in, but perhaps shaken; he was tagged for two runs...driven in by Sherm Lollar and Luis Aparicio, the only runs on the day in the Sox 2-0 win.

Two often repeated statements/ arguments on this board that now seem silly:
George did start the site back in the late 90's.

Rubber Match, Sox vs Jays... 12:35ct.
Only the second road series win this season the other was at Cincinnati. Also only the second game this year the Sox trailed in the 7th inning or later and won. The other was April 20 at Boston.

6/21 game thread Sox at Jays 2:05 CDT
Based on the results since the start of the 2007 year the "loser" image is fully operational and ingrained in this organization.

2025 MiLB Catch All thread
From Saturday's Sun-Times: But the joy can bring struggle, as Sox fans have learned all too well after a promising contention window featuring Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada, Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert Jr. crashed and burned. And this time around, the Sox’ highest profile hopes are still figuring it out. The team’s top-ranked prospect, left-handed Naperville native Noah Schultz, gave up six runs on eight hits and a walk in his 5 1/3 -inning debut at Charlotte on Thursday. And a roller-coaster season for prized shortstop prospect Colson Montgomery has taken another dip as he’s batted .176 this month at Charlotte after a promising rebound from an early season slump that prompted Sox brass to yank him from the daily grind and work on his swing in Arizona.

That's true Rich and Les did post on it as did the Tribune sports editor Dan McGrath who incurred the wrath of many Sox posters at the site.

White Sox promoting Wikelman González
I've been called a lot worse by better individuals so your words bother me not an iota. I don't hate JR, have met him twice, we've exchanged nice letters. I hate what he has done to this franchise. Regarding my profession I can separate my duties and responsibilities in those areas with my fandom. They aren't connected.
-
White Sox promoting Wikelman González
As incompetent as this organization appears to be in all areas, it wouldn't totally shock me to read a bunch of other pitchers having serious health issues.

Clint Frazier on the 2023 White Sox being his most favorite team
I'd agree with this.

6/18 game PPD, rescheduled 6/19 Doubleheader 1:10PM
Bill never hired Nancy. Stu Holcomb did it before the start of the 1970 season after hearing her play at a social event.

White Sox promoting Wikelman González
And they are still one of the best teams in baseball...must be nice. If Varland, Perez and Martin all eventually go under the surgeons knife that will make a total of nine White Sox pitchers having TJS since this spring. Wow.

Fire Chris Getz
I would hope that would happen but I'd be very surprised if it took place. Was told by a high ranking front office employee that the Sox think Schriffen and Stone have never sounded better and are working together very well. This person also said they thought the Sox have the best broadcasting team in baseball on the all-access Friday night telecasts. They were also very enthused about what McKnight and the female reporter (sorry I don't remember her name) are doing and contributing.

Clint Frazier on the 2023 White Sox being his most favorite team
Exactly...incompetent, dysfunctional and inept from top to bottom.

That's true they did along with Sox published authors like Rich Lindberg and Dan Helpingstein.
