  1. Exactly...incompetent, dysfunctional and inept from top to bottom.
  2. That's true they did along with Sox published authors like Rich Lindberg and Dan Helpingstein.
  3. Both are correct at least from what I have been told Wintrust did supposedly offer more money but did want the Comiskey name associated with it and JR said no. I was also told that an individual (I was given the name but won't repeat it) had a conflict of interest with a relative holding a high ranking position at the Guaranteed Rate Company and the Sox person didn't include all that info to JR.
  4. Would be pretty funny if he testified to something that was shown to be false later on.
  5. From 1990 through 2006 they had 12 winning seasons, four losing ones and a .500 year. Since then? Among the worst in MLB.
  6. Sox moved to WSNS-TV channel 44 starting in the 1973 season. “If you want people to come, you can’t give the product away. That’s the way it’s been done everywhere else except Chicago for years. The best organizations, the ones that draw the most people at the gate, don’t go that way. They have limited TV.” - Eddie Einhorn to Bob Logan in the book, "Miracle on 35th Street, The Story of the 1983 Chicago White Sox."
  7. Part of the reason was strong disagreements between the individuals who "owned" the web site and people who had control of the message board. At one time it was a very good site, was being quoted and written about in the Sun-Times, Tribune and even some out of town newspapers. They were using quotes from interviews posted on the site for example. Then the site stopped running interviews and historical stories. Even the White Sox wanted to get involved. I got an e-mail from Brooks Boyer one time asking if I could give him the contact information to the people who ran the site. He said the Sox wanted to make White Sox Interactive merchandise available at the stadium. Nothing ever developed because I was told some individuals wouldn't agree to the Sox terms on the financial aspects of the deal. Don't know if that was true or not just what I heard. Then as others have pointed out, the site because very authorative regarding message board comments, anything to "negative" was being shut down.
  8. 10. White Sox: JoJo Parker, SS, Purvis (Miss.) HS (No. 10) Parker's name is buzzy. He's been talked about as high as No. 2. If the White Sox grab him, they could take his twin brother, Jacob (Draft No. 107), in the second round.
  9. Mark Gonzales told me about the time Anderson and another player (it was believed to be Brandon McCarthy) were in the clubhouse watching cartoons instead of getting ready for the upcoming game. Gonzo told me the other veteran players noticed.
  10. Baldwin by the way was pulled in mid-game tonight for Charlotte. Sounds like Tauchman may be headed back to the IL list for a groin/leg injury yet again.
  11. Yes, the VERY top as in ownership.
  12. Well that's eight in a row now, very good chance they have another double-digit losing streak. They've never had three straight seasons with a 10-game or more losing streak, it would be the first time in the 125 year history of the franchise that will have happened.
  13. The only thing that can save them is nature taking its course.
  14. He's right I double checked. That's simply mind-blowing.
  15. Booser now has four losses and three blown saves. He sucks like most of these buffoons. Sox now 4-19 (I think) in one run games. Sox have now lost nine games this year where they took a lead into the 7th inning or later. EDIT: They are 4-20 in one run games. 😲
  16. Cub fan my ass LOL: https://chicago.suntimes.com/pope-leo-xiv/2025/06/19/pope-leo-white-sox-chant-vatican
  17. Very true.
  18. Good...they can't lose tonight at least.
  19. The stink goes back a lot longer than that. Since the start of 2007 they have had 12 losing years, five winning ones and a .500 season. That's among the worst in baseball over that extended time period.
  20. Lip Man 1 replied to WBWSF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    A prudent position.
  21. “That's part of the reason why he's in Triple-A, because we want him to play,” said White Sox manager Will Venable of Baldwin. “He's still a young player, and we just don't have that opportunity for him here. He's part of our vision for the future, and for him to get there and really develop, he needs to be in Triple-A playing."
  22. But the question remains CAN the White Sox actually teach and develop? Halfway to 100 losses now.
  23. Offense really has never been there...just like the defense, non-existent in the White Sox world.
