I think it's the best way, but not necessarily the only way. Nevertheless, I think doing more of the same is an impossibility if the party wants to hold on to its progressive side. On this current long-term path, the Republicans will stay at their lunatic fascist state, the Democrats will become the center-right party (which they basically are right now), and a third party will inevitably have to emerge

To be honest, the biggest difficulty I've had in answering your question is that the vast majority of candidates who support M4A were in districts they were expected to win (maybe that means something?). With respect to contested races or ones slightly favoring Republicans, I could only find a handful of candidates who support it.

Not saying that Trump supports any of them more than Biden. Biden obviously isn't looking to overturn Roe or anything like that, but his health care plan and track record with immigration, for instance, are certainly far from what I believe "progressive" policies represent. My personal opinion is that a candidate running on M4A, GND, and a more progressive immigration policy would have done better in this election than Biden. I fundamentally disagree with the idea that Democrats need to move right to capture Republicans/centrists frustrated with Trump at the expense of strong liberals and leftists. I get that this is an unpopular opinion and I don't expect to convince you of it. My overall point, however, is that the people have not been given a chance to vote for a progressive agenda on this scale because Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, etc. are not progressive candidates. To use their results as proof that Americans do not support progressive policies is backwards thinking, to me.

Maybe some didn't come out for Biden because he doesn't represent what they want? Being "not Trump" isn't enough for all voters. You can't use the Biden/Trump results to argue against progressivism. The idea that progressives will go out in droves to vote for corporate Democrats has never made sense to me

It's almost like constantly trying to cater to the 3% of Republicans who denounce Trump is worse than attempting to reach out to young and/or minority voters

For now, yeah. I'm just anxious about accusations of foul play as Pennsylvania and perhaps Georgia get their votes counted

I'm not sure what this board's obsession is with trading Eloy. He'll be on the White Sox for a long time. Vaughn or Kopech will likely suffice as the centerpiece for Marquez, even with the insane value of his contract. But I don't see the Sox pulling the trigger there.
