Offseason Targets
I don't see it happening either but I think the idea is that Arenado is traded (Dodgers/Mets) and/or (likely "and") Story walks in FA after the season

La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
The end of that is kind of damning. What other info about the incident could come out? Maybe he called the cop a racial slur or something?

Offseason Targets
I don't think he was fully healthy. I've read that his bread and butter was the 97 MPH high fastball and he was pumping 92. It was weird

Didn't Merkin suggest they would be in an article last week?

Same with Not Cishek, who this entire board hates. They’re all the same person IMO

They’ve been tweeting with Not Cishek, liking his tweets, etc so I think they may be connected somehow- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
There also has been a lot of "It's not a big deal that he drives drunk, YOU do it all the time too, hypocrite!" which is an unbelievably stupid way of admitting that they drive drunk themselves- New Manager. Who could sox target at this point?
Bochy, Espada, or Sam Fuld are the main three I could see taking that spot- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Bauer says towards the end of the video that the fact that any FA (such as Stroman) flat out won't sign with your team because of your new manager means it might not be the most effective hire. At 18:06, he says "I'm not part of the White Sox... perhaps I will be, at some point later this offseason, perhaps I won't" so I need a body language expert to tell me if he's interested haha- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
I’m still waiting for the three headed monster of Levine, Nightengale, and Sullivan to tell us how we’re all overreacting and that this isn’t a big deal, he’s a respected guy, just misunderstood.- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
I wish they actually were working on an audible- 2020 Election Thoughts

So it seems like people are getting the same general response "I understand your frustration - We have great players - Thanks for reaching out"- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Right, I'm not sure what people are waiting for. We've already heard everything the organization has to say. They're just hoping this won't be a topic of discussion when the season rolls around- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Just curious, have any of you who emailed or called the Sox gotten a response?- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
The organization said they can’t comment further on an ongoing case, so I wouldn’t expect anything from them regardless- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Probably not, but it would be hilarious now so I'm rooting for it. Agreed that Cash probably gets it- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
He'll love it even more when he wins AL Manager of the Year tomorrow night- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
Thursday. I bet one of the first questions will be "have you spoken yet with Tony La Russa?' and he'll give the same answer as TA- La Russa arrested for DUI in Feb; charged day before hire
We already were told from Reinsdorf that he won't be fired or punished. As for the idea that he'll resign because he doesn't want to be a distraction, which I've seen a lot of people suggest, I'll just advise that you don't do that to yourself. It would be fantastic, and it's the right thing to do, but we're stuck with this guy, and I don't see a reason to try and believe otherwise. Of course, I hope I am wrong- 2020 Election Thoughts
Twitter should have never made him above the law in the first place- 2020 Election Thoughts
I know others have said similar, but this has been a great thread. I've really enjoyed the civil discussions I've had with people I don't agree with politically, both in the thread and in messages as a result of the thread. I completely understand why the buster is unlikely to return, but this thread might be an example of how it could potentially work. I've learned a lot about people's differing perspectives in a much more civilized manner than anywhere else on the internet - Offseason Targets
