I agree. We can't make decisions on how this off-season goes until spring training opens. There are still a lot of signings /deals that can be made down the road.

That may be true but there is also money involved. I think Rodriquez is also flawed. Maybe Detroit wants to spend money but instead of doing a monster contract like Correa, they are doing 3-4 "second-tier signings/ deals". That probably makes sense since they seem to have several holes to fill in both rotation and positional players.No clue but they may have bullpen holes to fill like most teams.

Agree and we also don't take into consideration injuries that guys play through but which affects their performance. My point is we as fans complain about who we have out but forget our opponents may have just as many injuries.

I think health is tough to judge. Covid issues aside, every team seems to have players on the IL for extended periods. We know the White Sox were really hit hard w Eloy Grandal and Robert. Then you see in the Playoffs where teams had pitchers just returning from stints on the IL or out for the playoff and constant juggling of rotations. The Braves outfield woes and the mini-rebuild they were forced to do. Yankees had a string of injury issues all year. We saw big name pitchers like Verlander, Sale and Scherzer all prevented from being effective in the Playoffs. Dr Andrews probably has statues of Tommy John outside his facilities in Birmingham and Pensacola.

You will get half because I think Conforto will happen for Sox since it seems his rumors are pretty much dried up. But most likely Scherzer won't. Maybe, Ray will be your missing piece.

It sounds like Scherzer is in home stretch and most likely West coast bound unless Mets can wrestle him East.

There is no reason to think that he will continue to have disappointing seasons" I think the age and what we now see w Marte, $20M per year sounds reasonable.

No he is saying the Phillies may trade for Kimbrel and they may not. You or I can say the same thing.

I would add his most current comment: "No idea how close sides are or if a deal will be completed between them and the #WhiteSox." Pretty much covers all possible scenarios.

I saw a lot of Boston games and they tried to "hide" him at 1B. He struggled there defensively although he never played it much because of Rizzo in Cubworld. Understnading the Sox are limited in shifts, teams that are shift reliant tend to expose !B who struggle w range. Not like the old days where a guy didn't have much ground to cover. I think Schwarber is a DH with a good LF bat.

Playing 2B, if the money is right, on a playoff team. A lot of positives. But he may want to go back to SS and the money will be right just about anywhere he ends up. Might not be a playoff team though. We shall see as the SS sweepstakes will involve a lot of teams.

Most rumors are BS but it appears Semien is mentioned more often as going to SS vs 2B.
