  1. Good job keeping this updated on your part. Next few weeks will really heat up
  2. Right . But you could also have a team run away with a division and the rest would have nothing to play for. That's why I say you need at least 3 teams in each division to qualify
  3. That is not true. If we returned to the best AL vs best NL format, if a team runs away w their league all the games late in the year would be meaningless. Now if we played even gamesw each team in a division and took the top 3 with 2 vs 3 and winner plays 1 it would still create interest but still reward the best team in each division.
  4. I know Boston is short-handed but "2 out of 3 ain't bad"
  5. Boston's closer was out w Covid so their 10th inning guy was no stud. Travis Shaw who was hitting sub.200 beat us when Mendick and Goodwin didn't.
  6. But coming off Covid break
  7. Hope not. Hendricks limped off
  8. Good news is Sale is out
  9. Agree. There is also the Covid factor. They said Boston had their 14th player affected by Covid. Imagine what that is going to do to teams in the playoffs if key players are lost for a week in October
  10. Boston is one of the worst defensive teams in AL. They made the plays tonight. I saw them against Tampa last week and they were horrible on bad throws and missed cutoffs,
  11. You don't put a guy on IL if he is out for a couple of days, As I said Boston didn't out Martinez on IL because he missed yesterday and today,
  12. Same reason Boston couldn't use Martinez last night or tonight. Banged up but that doesn't send him to IL
  13. Vaughn was not available according to the broadcast.
  14. They didn't hit Vaughn because he was not available. He was banged up according to the broadcast.
  15. TLR manages that pen again.
  16. A lot of bullpen support got the victory. Rodon was really good in his stint.
  17. Agree, it shouldn't even be a factor.
  18. How about Baltimore. They are a poor AAA tewam
  19. Great job keeping this up to date
  20. Tampa 's last 6 are on the road w 3 at Houston and 3 at NY. So Houston may have a shot
  21. It may actually help Houston and Sox if Boston can take 3 or 4.
  22. Boston and Tampa play 7 times in next 10 days. Interesting to see how Sale will do in possibly 2 starts against Rays.
  23. HUH??? You think there is only pressure on winning teams? Many of the players on losing teams are playing to survive in the majors. A few bad performances and they could be back in AAA or cut loose. That is also pressure
  24. But to be fair, we saw both teams last night have big innings. So maybe there was pressure
  25. Harry: Don't speak too soon. Grandal made a huge splash in his return. But he usually breaks down late in the year. Dodgers aside, he has struggled in Postseason play his whole career. But this year his games played are down due to injury so lets hope he is solid postseason this year.
