  1. I know putting the winning run on 2nd is dangerous...but I would have walked Ramirez. Let Gio face Santana But 1 more strike and it all works out... Edit: shoulda done what I said. Fuck Ricky. This is at least the 4th game he’s cost us
  2. Who woulda thought a month ago we’d have 4 black holes in our lineup? Moncada, Robert, Encarnacion and Mazara are giving us absolutely nothing and it’s killing the offense. A manager with 1/2 a brain could at least patch 2 of those holes, but it’s going to be tough to win playoff series dragging Moncada and Robert around like anchors. Thankfully both are still very good in the field, but damn they are infurauiting at the plate.
  3. Never thought that I’d say that I miss Luery Garcia. That selfish head 1st slide really hurt us, I think the failed Mazara experiment would be over by now if Luery didn’t get hurt. How bad can Vaughn be in RF? We have multiple very good late game defensive replacements as well
  4. What on earth are you talking about IF he can hit .280? You could cut off 1 of Madrigal’s arms and he’d still figure out how to hit .280.
  5. Awful awful awful Luis. Young or not there’s no excuse for that
  6. Option C- Keep Grandal, resign McCann, and trade Vaughn (+ probably a little more) for a top of rotation arm. May not be what’s best for the team in 5 years, but I think it gives us a real shot at being a real WS contender for a 3 year window. of course always easier said than done to trade for a very good SP...
  7. Almost like Ricky had something to do after the game. Why Cordero over Colome?
  8. Am I the only 1 with a feed picking up an annoying sound from the stadium?
  9. Ya I don’t even disagree. But unfortunately we have an insane coach, so my thought is that if you take away Cordero all together Ricky can’t misuse the hell out of him. Sad for Cordero and sad for Sox fans that this is where we are
  10. DFA Cordero and tell Cisheck to get the hell away forever. Ricky can’t help himself with either. And I understood not giving up a big piece for a SP, but not getting any bullpen help at the deadline was a giant mistake. They had to already known the Bummer prognosis. There were a handful of steady RP’s that went for cheap
  11. I think some people (myself included) expected things to go poorly with Colome because the advanced stats really haven’t looked good for him for a while now. There was/is a lot of “luck” involved. But a lot like TA and his BABIP, sometimes you just have to shrug your shoulders and be happy with the results rather than question why. Perfect example of advanced stats not always telling the whole story.
  12. I’m all for holding onto all the top young guys- Vaughn, Kopech, Cease, Dunning, 2020 picks, etc... but I feel like there was an opportunity (or 3 or 4) to improve this team’s chances in the playoffs with a minor move or 2 for the bullpen. Wouldn’t have had to give up anyone that factors significantly into the team next year either. But is what it is, not going to get upset. We still have a very young team with a very bright future. And in 1st place now. All is well in the White Sox world right now as far as I’m concerned. Just hope the trigger finger isn’t as stiff in the next year or 2 when a move is needed to be made to be true WS contenders/winners
  13. So if there was never a trade agreed upon we are left with the fact that our coach is just incompetent? I was at least holding out hope that there was a reason Cisheck was used in a high leverage situation yesterday. Nope, just bad coaching...awesome sadly that’s my biggest takeaway from all this
  14. I still think Heuer and Collins will be moved in a deal. Maybe not what we were all hoping/expecting, but something will get done
  15. A lot of names...but I feel like that’s not that much for Clevinger
  16. I want to find the possibility of getting a SP and RP package for Collins, Stiever and another fringe guy like Sheets, Rutherford, Gonzalez, Yermin...maybe nothing worth while out there but that’s about the max I’m willing to give up right now unless someone like Clevinger is on the table.
  17. Cischeck needs to be a serious DFA discussion. He’s done nothing for us. Another bullpen arm should be a priority today as well. Without bummer we are a pretty glaring 1 arm short for 7th/8th
  18. Yeah I really don’t want to give up much more than Collins and Stiever. That probably won’t get us Bauer, Lynn, or Ray though so we’ll see. We should have been in on someone like Taijuan Walker. Unless it’s Bauer, I’m not sure I feel like Ray or Lynn are locks to be dominate post season pitchers that make us instant WS contenders anyway. Another solid starter that can give us a consistent 6 innings with 3 ER or less would very helpful. We’ve got a great thing going with the young talent on this team, don’t force a trade to try and rush it along in this weird shortened season.
  19. Horrible coaching all around. Foster had no business going out for 2. He was lucky no one took him deep in the 1st. Yet some how coaching staff can’t see this
  20. Why is our coaching staff absolute garbage at evaluating their pitchers? Foster hasn’t had good stuff all night. Shoulda been happy he got out of the 1st inning. The bullpen is fully rested. Go to someone else
  21. Foster doesn’t have his good stuff tonight. 1 and done. Get Marshall up
  22. Draftkings prop bet...I’m also in NJ where sports gambling is legal
