Not a White Sox season unless an under talented bench player has a small amount of success and fans then hype said player up to be more than he is. Wouldn’t shock me if Mendick is playing with Saladino, Delmonico and Palka in a couple of years.

Crazy that a team that hasn’t played a game or been together in weeks was more ready to play than the Sox. This team being flat is starting to become a theme. It’s reflective of the coaching staff and leadership. A locker room shake up is going to be needed if this continues all year

Mendick, Engel, Luery, McCann... aside from maybe Moncada these have been the bright spots for this lineup and their all backups/platoon players

Omar Vizquel or Sandy Alomar both make a lot of sense. I’m sure Jerry would love to hire a former member of the organization and they are least 2 knowledgeable baseball minds that have had careers that demand respect. Plus the Spanish speaking part is undeniably important. Dark horse- Jim Thome

If Bummer is to be kept out of the closer role for high leverage situations I would have no problem with Marshall getting a shot if Colome were to fail. His stuff is NASTY, which I never thought I’d say 2 years ago when he was acquired 6th/7th inning- Colome, Heuer, Cordero, Cisheck Matchup Lefty- Detweiler 8th- Bummer 9th- Marshall I don’t hate that at all.

The problem is...who/what do we have that is expendable of any kind of significant value to trade for a good pitcher? What we really need is a solid vet on a bad team with an expiring contract. If the team can add someone that can give us a consistent 6 innings 3 ER it would be huge.
