I agree about Cotts facing more hitters. He can easily go an inning. and I'd like to see Jenks get a chance one of these games with something on the line. I realize Ozzie is bringing him along slowly, putting him in situations where he has a better chance to succeed, primarily to build his confidence. But with the lead we have, why not try him in a situation where every pitch counts? He did well in that situation against KC last week.

adkins? you've got to be kidding me. He's worse than horrible. Leads the International League in home runs allowed. Baj or Tracey and Diaz or Munoz deserved it over him. Don't get that one at all.

Buster Olney is just another East Coast lackey, like all the other guys ESPN signs. Gammons, Kurkjian, Olney, they all come from cities in the AL East. Their bias is odious.

A Row is one of the main faces inthe TV ads he can hit in mutliple places in the order. he can steal a base. And he's signed for a few years. He is a foundation piece of this team. And deserves to be.

sox drafted Zeringue out of high school -- but he signed with LSU. They have always loved his bat. He's only been a pro for a year and he's considered an excellent prospect. That's not a reason to make a deal when you're going for October, but I just thought I'd throw that into the discussion. I can understand the thinking behind trading Shingo when his value is up -- he's our third option in the pen. My only thoughts on Baj are no matter how good his numbers are at Charlotte, he was not impressive with the big club last September. Asking a lot of a guy like that to deliver in really important games.
