It is a tricky word... I am a teacher and I was actually playing football with some African American students today (age 13) and they (not seriously) started jawing with each other and once of them used the n-word. I basically just said "no" and they stopped, but its highly laughable when people cry about how "well black people shouldn't say it if other people can't say it". I'm not saying I love it when I hear people start jawing and that word enters the mix, but MLB is going down a ugly and tricky road in this case that it's best avoiding. Just don't go there.. bad idea in trying to legislate this.

It's one thing to lose... losing by the average score of 9-2 over the last week is a profound level of futility. If this continues at all - someone is going to get axed.

Bennetti seems like a nice guy.. he also has a good voice. He is a hard guy to hate for sure.. but he has never impressed me. Can't say I'm a fan... but of the worries about this franchise who is the announcer is low on the list.

This is what I see also - I don't really care about the winning or losing, but I saw no consistent positive momentum with most.. really nearly all the young players.

But when you watch this team at least you can see all the exciting talent that could blossom.... Oh wait no you can't.. but it's all in the minor leagues... It better be.

Well... yikes... However 1. I was very concerned when he was throwing 93-94... now there is a reason why - so that's actually a relief (and not his actual velo) 2. We ain't even trying to win until at least 2020... so he can still be a part of the mix then.

WTF... Commonly in the carribean there is racism - because some islands and some people from those islands are darker skinned/have more African descent. I remember reading about how some in the DR did not want Haitian immigrants coming into country - for reasons you can guess. Weird stuff on this thread.... or just trolling... trolling I hope!

Yeah the hustle rule is kind of a joke.. I like the concept, but in practice makes no sense. I saw about 10 instances last night where guys were not running nearly as hard as they could have.. and the plays were much more beatable than Avi's meaningless pop out. But the real issue is the in game strategy - even though managers don't mean that much, he hurts the team on a regular basis with fast pitch softball tactics.
