Yeah the way some people were constructing the roster just last week (when Hays and Pereira come back and Braden comes up), the bench most days would feature a catcher and 3 OFs with 4 OFs starting (one being a backup IF in Antonacci) with one at DH. That's just not going to happen.

Yeah it did as I said “Your regular SS plays SS and Sam plays 3B” for one example.

No, I’m not taking a guy who’s been great defensively at SS and sticking him at 3B. Seriously wtf. The fringe MLB player should learn 3B and and another trick to his bag. Maybe he can stick around another couple years.

I kept thinking he did for some reason. Might have gotten him confuse with Peters. You figure Hays can play RF regularly and Pereira likely enters a platoon role in LF or CF. Grichuk, I agree is not long for the roster.

I think there's so many options that you don't really need Kelenic, who has options. You have Antonaccia in LF who hits left-handed, Peters who can play all 3 spots and hits left-handed, and then you need at bats for Hays and Pereira (assuming both get healthy enough to come back at the same time). Benintendi has been hitting better of late so I don't think they will move on any time soon.

Right. He's a former 1st round pick himself finally having a great season after being bad since he was drafted. Rather hold onto him than trade for a draft pick.

Ok, I get Vargas is out but must it be Acuna? Move Colson back to SS and play Sam at 3B and I guess improve you OF defense with Hill.
