  1. Usually against that but when you’re hitting that poorly you almost have to.
  2. Anyone else see this? https://southsideshowdown.com/mlb-mock-draft-chicago-white-sox-land-twin-brothers-2025-draft-jojo-jacob-parker?fbclid=IwY2xjawLACkVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFjUml3dGFSdUpIZ2lnU0Z2AR5FAZ0EtqiQrWCMHakARyQEz9Ee0J6OSGxVlXmgspkCKLzv3Rzs6fhAbZQeEQ_aem_E4yiC2ZYde3PSQQ7kIDC0A Says at the draft combine yesterday, Jacob was hitting balls with an exit velo of over 110. Edit: also, miss when the draft was in June.
  3. Was going to say...opinions aren't facts.
  4. I get it since we still do need pitching but I think we’re more likely to get an arm for Robert than a big bat.
  5. I would have loved it but yeah, was never going to happen.
  6. Capra has started 4 of the last 6 games. The at bats are there, especially if you expand into the OF over Slater and Taylor, giving days off to Sosa, Meidroth, Vargas, etc.
  7. Trying to multi quote here but this site with ads has become horrendous. So Padres 1st, 3rd, and 4th round pick from last year? I doubt we will get close to this. Do the Padres have a comp pick that can be moved?
  8. I just don't think Baldwin has much to prove in AAA the way he was swinging it. Let him play every day here and figure it out. Edit: although, I think his time will come when they move an OF (Robert, Tauchman).
  9. I don’t really blame Devers here and don’t feel sorry for the Red Sox. They told him you’re terrible defensively, keep the glove at home (it was pretty public) and then they go crawling back to him later. Edit: I also feel like if they kept him, he would transition to 1B not mid-season. Off-season and Spring Training which I bet happens with SF.
  10. They should have started transitioning him to 1B in Spring Training (yes, I know Casas was there but they were trying to trade him and guys need a day off anyway sometimes).
  11. His contract is a steal compared to last he way contracts are now going, even if he only DH’s (I think he moves to 1B next season).
  12. The timing of it was weird for sure. I'm sure the package they accepted would have been there a month from now, at the Trade Deadline, etc.
  13. Unfortunately those are the guys who should be in the lineup and you gotta play them somewhere.
  14. You're not wrong. Civale is .1 WAR and Andrew Vaughn was -1.6.
  15. Great deal for the Giants. No way Sox were going to do this when they’re slashing payroll.
  16. I doubt that is the case until he’s calling all shots. We might get a nice stadium though.
  17. I don’t hate any reason that keeps guys off the MLB roster prior to the lockout at the end of next year with so much uncertainty, unless you can get some guys on team friendly, 7-8 year deals before said uncertainty.
  18. Plenty of room for Fletcher when Tauchman and Robert are dealt and Taylor and Slater are cut.
  19. I think he means if you’re a team giving up a T100 for an Aaron Civale (if he pitches good enough), you probably have a deep farm.
