  1. Yeah, without the track record and being a free agent at the end of the year, no team is going to give up a haul. That said, he's still probably their best trade piece.
  2. My guess to who is moved (or at least who should be): Luis Robert Jr OF (fucked up not trading him sooner but time to move on and include cash) Mike Tauchman (cheap and has another year of control but 34 years old, he's one of their better trade chips so just deal him and worry about who plays of the OF next year in the offseason) Adrian Houser SP (cheap, free agent after this year) Austin Slater (good numbers against lefties again) OF Aaron Civale SP (has to pitch well his next 2 starts) Steven Wilson RP (has 2 more years of control, close the book on the Cease deal) Korey Lee (buried on the depth chart a bit and has interest) Dan Altavilla (has pitched well, now sell) And then I'm going to guess a surprise trade like Sosa, Martin, Burke, Cannon (I feel like those last 3 have similar floors to where they are mid-rotation starters at best long-term and honestly just feel like filler right now). Feel like there's enough guys in AAA (guys who deserve a look and other fodder) that can come up and hold down the fort.
  3. f*** it, package Robert, Houser, a reliever, Lee and cash to the Padres since they seem to have interest in Robert and Lee and can probably pitching help.
  4. Imagine he gets traded to the Cubs and gets hit by Shane Smith yet again haha
  5. I guess it could be. Some guys were already showered and in regular clothes.
  6. Did they have to pick players that were still in the game? Only thing that makes no sense because no Ohtani either.
  7. Yeah I don’t see he has pitched. And his college numbers look horrific to where it probably isn’t even worth it ha
  8. Was LM-G the guy that they were going to develop as a 2-way player? I thought I read that here.
  9. The start to that one season though was really cool.
  10. The point wasn’t that he was “fixed” in Milwaukee FWIW. It was that Fuller couldn’t fix him. This was gone over yesterday or earlier or whenever. Time has blended together since having a kid a year ago.
  11. You might as well trade Lee, who might have a little value, rather than sit him and never play him though. A guy like Blake Sabol (or any bad waiver claim) can come up and sit on bench. Edit: plus, Sabol has experience at 1B and in the OF so he wouldn't just strictly have to be a 3rd catcher rotting on the bench. He can be depth at multiple spots.
  12. Found it: https://southsideshowdown.com/chicago-white-sox-deadline-korey-lee-orioles-padres-rumors-catcher-mlb-trade Yonathan Perlaza: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=perlaz000yon A return like that feels about right for Korey Lee but would rather maybe have an arm instead.
  13. Or he can join Zack Collins: https://www.compass.com/agents/zachary-collins/
  14. The s%*# is horrible. The new format sucks. Why rush it?
  15. He’s saying why couldn’t he fix Vaughn. Has nothing to do with whatever he’s doing in Milwaukee.
  16. Pretty sure a Sox site (South Side Sox maybe?) kicked around the idea earlier this week Lee for Perlaza (forgot his first name). A 26-YO switch-hitting MI feels about right but guess I’d rather have a lotto ticket arm in this kind of move.
  17. The guy has played some OF as well. Any chance they call him up after guys are moved to serve as a 3rd C (with a little flexibility) so Quero and Teel can both be in the lineup (one DHing).
  18. Martin Perez should be back to pitch some innings, maybe the ghost of Noah Syndergaard. Hopefully no Clevinger.
