  1. What’s he supposed to say? I was really hoping to get gtfo of here. I wanted to go to a contender. As I said yesterday, the dude seems to play to the ability around him. Add a couple pitchers and a power bat in the offseason and who knows? Maybe we have a fun season or at least can use him as a trade chip next July. (thanks Ishbia money!)
  2. Oh yeah I missed that. Sorry. I think his salary is low enough where a team would claim him though. Feels like they have enough guys to cover the rest of the innings for them season but I guess they can trying in a few weeks.
  3. We’re not saying to trade. They can still be placed on waivers and claimed. Teams have done that the last couple of years to dump salary.
  4. Yeah and Schwarber didn't even get to stay long enough to be a free agent after the 6+ years. Guy was non-tendered haha
  5. That's true, could do that to save some money. Like the Angels did a couple years ago after they traded for Giolito and Lopez.
  6. Maybe because of the expectations that were put on the team? I honestly don’t know.
  7. Waiver wire yesterday
  8. That doesn’t bother me as much since most pitchers are righty. They still make majority of the starts in the lineup. Just gotta pair with a veteran platoon bat. Or bat lower in lineup against lefties.
  9. Is it me or does it seem like this guy plays to the level of the team around him? He would have been a homerun of a get for a contender.
  10. Dude is toast
  11. I’m guessing 11 out of as many games played to this point. I don’t think that’s confusing
  12. I thought people didn’t care about that stuff anymore post-TA7
  13. I said “I’m no longer excited about Colson. Please change my mind” and he has. I’ll eat a nice helping of crow.
  14. Hey might as well. We’ve been having success lately with guys who pitched in the Brewers org (even if they didn’t initially develop there).
  15. Not in the lineup today. But both catchers are.
  16. We gonna extend him? Too bad we couldn’t trade him to Boston
  17. Yeah. I was going to say, maybe to eat innings post Trade Deadline but considering they only moved Houser, they’re fine anyway. I could see the argument if Civale and a surprise also moved.
  18. Would have been nice to have gotten anything for him at the TDL
  19. In a league with IP as a stat (I know, dumb) so if Smith is only going 3-4 that doesn’t help a ton
  20. Yes, but maybe carry an older one that can act as a mentor to the younger guys and as a veteran presence to the rest of the team. It’s a spot that will barely play. That or one that is flexible and can play other positions as well. I know there aren’t a ton of those guys but they exist.
  21. Someone more short term who is older like Merrill Kelly?
  22. So is Shane Smith in the Crochet plan? Asking as someone who needs to make a move in fantasy and he would be an obvious drop for Snell and Cortes coming back.
  23. Bob Sacamano replied to BamaDoc's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    That’s what I thought too
  24. I’m just not sure who that is in this org because Dru Baker sucks. I guess any option that becomes available on waivers though, which they can still do.
