  1. And so far, he doesn't seem ready. Let him work it out and "hopefully" dominate the rest of the Triple-A season (what, another 2 and a half months?). And I disagree. it should at least be a small factor.
  2. There's a thread about how untrue this comment actually is.
  3. Agreed. 3 months of Kopech on the mound this year for a team not going anywhere vs. close to a full season of him pitching in 2025, in our competitive window (if most goes according to plan)?
  4. For what it's worth, people have penciled in Palka and Davidson into the future starting lineup at some points this year only for them to come back to earth.
  5. Well I guess both fit actually ha
  6. Too much pitching? Based on what? A pitcher is who on the DL often and when he isn't, is working his way back from injury, two guys with short track records of success, and a guy with a 7 ERA. And that doesn't even count the question marks not at the MLB level. Point is, no one is really proven so we are not at a point where we can say we have "too much."
  7. The rebuild is going to see some top prospects succeed, top prospects fail, and success from guys no one would have thought of it coming from. Covey definitely fall into that last category with his stuff.
  8. They have good enough baseball reasons to leave him down like working on control, working on whatever secondary pitches he has been working on, etc.
  9. He meant in general, not just the Sox.
  10. I noticed that as well. 2 starts where he gave up 7 and another with 8 skewed his ERA.
  11. Yeah it seems like a no brainer to me. A few starts/half a season this year when the team sucks or another full season later on when we are hopefully good?

    1. According to an article I read after the movie, it seems like it was premidated to start the events. 2. I think Charlie was possessed by the demon that the cult worships (explaining why she is so creepy). I think the grandma put it inside her at a young age (the mother mentions early on in the movie that she had a brother that was crazy and said he would say that the mother would try to put people inside of him) and then the demon was transferred from her into the boy at the end. http://collider.com/hereditary-ending-explained/
  13. Just ask. There are a lot of people who love Star Wars but have zero interest in seeing this (I have friends that fall in that group) and anyone who would really want to see it has probably seen it by now. I think you are safe without the tags.

I agree. It wasn't your typical Hollywood horror movie with jump scares every 5 minutes. And I totally get the comparison to "The Witch." The atmosphere was creepy throughout the movie.
  15. This team doesn't even have a 4th bench player haha currently it's an 8-man bullpen, backup catcher, Rondon, and whoever doesn't play out of Thompson, Engel, Tilson and Palka.
  16. He complains about the price of going to the ballpark, something he doesn't do lol
  17. Oh yeah forgot about Leury. So would he take the spot of a reliever to have a 4-man bench or replace Jose Rondon?
  18. So what will the lineup look like when he comes back? Something like: 1. Moncada 2B 2. Sanchez 3B 3. Abreu 1B 4. Palka LF 5. Garcia RF 6. Davidson DH 7. Narvaez C 8. Anderson SS 9. Engel/Tilson CF
  19. Oh yeah this game ended early. They only had one inning left anyway and the one team was being slaughtered anyway.
  20. Almost witnessed this in a Sunday baseball league in the game before ours earlier this year. Team was down 13-2 and they were talking shit to the other team. Pitcher (for the team that was losing) struck out a guy and yelled at him to sit down. Next guy hit a grounder back at the pitcher and he started chasing him down the line before throwing him out. The guy went up to the pitcher and benches cleared.
  21. Looming? We have him for another 3 years.
  22. He's most deserving this year.
  23. Well it still looks pretty fucked up haha
  24. Anyone else feel like his delivery sucks and is likely the problem? Maybe he should work on smoothing that out and maybe just switching to more of a Verlander type of delivery where its little effort.
  25. If he's going to come up in September, I hope he doesn't start the year on the MLB team next year. If you're going to call him up that late, you might as well wait until late April/May next year to get the extra year of control.
