Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again
If he's going to come up in September, I hope he doesn't start the year on the MLB team next year. If you're going to call him up that late, you might as well wait until late April/May next year to get the extra year of control.

2018 Watercooler thread
When I watched, I had no idea they split the season to be released at different times. At the end of the last episode, I was so confused until one of my friends told me what they are doing. Hope its a good pay off at the end.

2018 White Sox catch-all thread
Because Greg like to argue topics while ignoring/without understanding counter arguments. Example: "we should listen to offers for Abreu and only trade him for a great haul. Only another year of control, wrong side of 30, and keep adding to a great system. Great numbers. We should get some key pieces easily." Legit baseball reasons. Greg however: "I can't believe all of you want to trade Abreu. His numbers are great. I don't understand why everyone here hates him. My gawd." Completely ignoring key points and thinking everyone hates Abreu. This is every Greg argument.

How eventful will be this years deadline?
Not as eventful(/fun?) as last season. That's for sure.

STAR WARS Everything
I agree 100%. I actually like Solo and Rogue One better than Episode 7 and 8 (especially 8).

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
How a player will age is also an unknown. Current day Abreu = star. Mid/late-30's Abreu? Who knows (though, I'd bet on him hitting well still).

How eventful will be this years deadline?
Rodon has what, 3 more years until free agency? I kind of feel like signing an extension now would be dumb for him. He's better off gambling on himself for a year or so and then try to discuss an extension. Edit: also, I know you just tossed out a number, but I'm definitely not signing a guy to a 6 year, $90 mill ($15m a year) until he proves he can stay healthy. Both sides are better off waiting until there is some sort of track record of health before signing an extension.

Yes Strasburg did sign an extension, but it wasn't team-friendly. Guy still got paid. After this year, he is still owed $138m over 5 years.

Phillies. Or whoever the Red Sox NL rivals are.

2018 MLB catch all thread
No I'd still rather have the competitive seasons year after year like the Sox used to in the 2000s. It's better than we've seen in this decade.

2018 Films thread
Everything I have read says they are ignoring everything after the original movie. Danny McBride wanted to do away with the whole relationship aspect of the story because then why even be scared if you know he is not coming for you? It makes it becomes more personal.

Our Sox vs Their Sox Game Thread
Yeah especially one game against a great offense.

Smith to catch Giolito
No, it wouldn't be. Because then it doesn't matter how/where the catcher catches it.

I'm a huge Arrested Development fan. But you're right, this season sucks.

White Sox select Nick Madrigal with 4th overall pick
Is he managing in our minor league system?

6/7- White Sox at Twins, 12:10
Dammit. My fantasy team already has almost no one playing today as is.

White Sox select Nick Madrigal with 4th overall pick
He's only 21 so his body isn't done maturing. He should be stronger in a few years for sure.

White Sox select Nick Madrigal with 4th overall pick
Considering where he was drafted, isn't this obvious?
