  1. I just want the Sox to win this game. Please find a way to do that.
  2. It's difficult from my point of view to act like the Sox are the only team that ever gets screwed by balls and strikes because it's highly likely that all teams fans go through stretches where the umpires just tick them off. The human factor is often just brutal when it comes to calling balls and strikes. If other teams fans feel like we do often enough, then I think automated balls/strikes could be a possibility. You would still have to have a home plate umpire so it's not like anyone would be losing their jobs. I think a lot of baseball players, coaches and fans would be a lot happier with an actual, 100% definable strike zone every game that follows the rules of what the strike zone is. It would be nice to get rid of this pitch framing crap, in my opinion, as well as ridiculous umpires like Laz Diaz with ridiculous strike zones.
  3. Wow. Randazzo defended his call. He had to throw it OVER the batter! Unbelievable!
  4. Aside from Eaton being overly aggressive, I'm really digging this inning.
  5. Could have been a lot worse with 1st and 3rd and no outs after the first run.
  6. Rasmus looks like a clown.
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 18, 2016 -> 07:15 PM) Not a good start to this game by Latos. Teams starting to figure him out Also he's not throwing strikes as well as he was earlier this year. Not good.
  8. QUOTE (South Sider @ May 18, 2016 -> 07:10 PM) No walks today and Latos should be fine. And he walks Springer.
  9. No walks today and Latos should be fine.
  10. Sox are gonna get back on track today!
  11. Ridiculous the play is right in front of him and he doesn't see it.
  12. Jose continuously puts himself in bad spots by swinging at junk... he needs to figure that out as soon as possible. It's almost unbelievable that he hasn't adjusted to that yet. It's been like a solid month of swinging at breaking balls out of the zone.
  13. Please Jose just end it here... really don't want to give these guys another chance to bat.
  14. Warning track... you gotta be kidding me. Can't catch a break on those deep fly balls.
  15. Tie game!!! Good job Tyler... Dont stop now boys!
  16. Goodbye bandwagoners obviously you've never followed a team through an entire 162 game baseball season.
  17. Whatever happened to asking the base umpire??? It wasn't THAT obvious that he swung.
  18. If the guy with a 7 ERA is trending to his norm, then so should this WIll Harris guy.
  19. NIce splitter. When Zachs got it going, he's tough to hit. Gotta hold these guys and win this game on a walk off solo homer or something.
  20. QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ May 16, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) Since the Sox intend on pitching Sale against the Astros (why I don't know they could bump him back a day and pitch Q) the match up's don't look great against Kansas City which had a rain out tonight and will probably change their rotational plans. Mark Maybe they figure Q or Sale, both give you a great chance to win. I agree it would be nice to have Sale against KC and Cleveland, but at the expense of Q vs. KC, the upside isn't as great as if it were Latos or Gonzalez being switched instead of Q.
  21. Time to get some home cooking going and get this thing back on track. The Houston series is definitely important, but when KC comes to town I hope our guys are ready to take it to the defending champs and show them that we mean business with this division. Aside from the Twins, we haven't had enough of a test vs. teams in our division. While the current leads we own are nice, whether or not we win this division will still come down to how we play vs. KC, Cleveland and Detroit. It's very important to keep KC down and take at least 2 games. We don't need to be giving that team any momentum at all.
  22. I know it's straying off topic from Jason vs. Hawk, but I want to chime in on some of the Cubs vs Sox talk and pose a question I have been pondering recently. In the event that Michael Jordan was actually awesome at baseball and played his career out on the White Sox, do you think he would have heavily influenced fan interest towards the Sox? Do you think he would have made no impact, brought it close to 50/50, or turn it into a Sox town?
