He added a lot of fuel to the fire in the last 24 hours with what he said postgame and on Monday, along with what others said. Not only did he take no accountability for really anything, but he now has players coming out in the media actively questioning his coaching decisions. Then Jaylon Johnson went on The Score yesterday and said this: Now that's also on the players, but it doesn't reflect well on the coaching staff either, and you add on the absolute unforgivable mistakes Flus made on Sunday...the vibe TOTALLY shifted.

Jesus your arms must be tired.- 24-25 NFL Thread
But it should have never gotten there. Caleb was getting beat up early and often. Why were there not more designed plays to the TE’s and RB’s? Kmet had one catch today, and the entire RB grouo didn’t have a reception today. You cut the only FB on your roster on Friday. On the biggest play of the game, you used a backup OL to run a FB handoff. Then, on the final drive of the game by the Bears, they used AWFUL clock management to allow WSH to hold onto timeouts and gave them enough time to make a drive down the field. This team has shown over 7 games they can hang with most teams. So then it comes down to putting your team and players in the best position for success. That is NOT happening.- 24-25 NFL Thread
They deserved that- How the Sox went from 12th in fWAR/talent to last
I think some of the posts here are missing the bigger problem. It’s not just about player selection. With the players listed having success elsewhere..it’s not about player identification, but how those talents are used and developed. We’ve seen it far too many times for it to be a random coincidence. The coaching and player development, at all levels, just isn’t close to where it needs to be in order to be competitive.- Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
Good for you. I'm in the North Shore and while I don't see me ever going to the Cubs, I would have no problem giving my fandom to the Brewers. I miss caring about baseball.- Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
There are plenty of reasons. I’m a fan of the White Sox, not the owner. Jerry Reinsdorf isn’t the White Sox. And at this point, I’m not ready to let Jerry make me root for another franchise. If he decides to actually sell the team to an owner that has no interest in keeping the Sox in Chicago, then I’ll feel OK moving on.- Jerry Reinsdorf open to selling the White Sox per Britt Ghiroli
f***’em, move the team. End of us this misery. Do I want an actual owner who is interested in fielding a competitive team in Chicago? Of course, but that seems like such an impossible ask at this point, I’d be fine with them moving and let me be a true “fan free agent”- 24-25 NFL Thread
And given that Fields hasn't been great but the Steelers have still been winning, you have to think that went into the decision by Pittsburgh. If Fields isn't giving them great production but the team can still be successful, why not see if Russ can do the same, and save them having to give up a 4th?- 24-25 NFL Thread

They clearly needed a few weeks to get going, and playing the Texans in Week 2 didn’t help. They have been fortunate to have a really soft schedule the last 3 weeks, and they need to go 3-1 in their next 4 honestly if they want to be a playoff team. But they are doing exactly what you should be doing to bad teams, and that’s stepping on their neck. Caleb’s last two weeks have been better than anything Fields did in 3 years here. He’s the real deal, they just have to get this OLine bolstered with some more talent, and hopefully the coaching staff can keep up. They still worry me, but there are a lot of good pieces here.- 24-25 NFL Thread
Heard Caleb postgame, that ball was supposed to be at the back of the pylon, just under threw it. Bad ball, it happens, but just bad execution by him, in an otherwise great day- 2024 Playoffs - NLCS/ALCS

- CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago
The concept on paper of CHSN being on free tv is a good idea. The problem is it’s not practical. Most people have either XFinity or YTTV. That’s how they watch TV. In order to watch the White Sox, they will need to switch inputs on their TV, and locate the channel via OTA. While it doesn’t seem like a lot of effort (and it isn’t) it’s not how people are conditioned to watch TV. And given the state of all three teams on CHSN, fans shouldn’t have to take additional steps to watch their favorite teams, they should make it as easy as possible. At this point in time, most people have to buy an additional piece of equipment to tune in, and that doesn’t pass the smell test in 2024- 2025 Projected Arb Salaries (MLBTR)
While I agree and Jerry probably feels the same...that 14M most likely isn't going to be spent on anything else.- Riley Greene?
That article makes absolutely zero sense, for like, a million reasons. No.- Dear Sox fans
Yeah, people just saying the same thing over and over gets super annoying. Totally agree.- Dear Sox fans
If your expectation for him to drool during a press conference, then he clearly isn't capable of running an organization, and someone who is still involved in the day to day decision making process, when it comes to baseball.- Dear Sox fans
Judging by very quick reaction online, it seems like Giants fans are excited that Farhan is gone, but a little confused that Posey is taking over, as they should be. Seems like a case where he's got a spot in the ownership group, said he could do a better job, and they just ran with it. But to Kyle's point, it's a much easier sell to a fan base when the player/organization has success to point back to. Obviously someone like Posey is beloved in SanFran, he may not be in 5 years, but people tend to look over the inexperience when you've got 3 rings on your hand.- Dear Sox fans
We're in basic agreement here, as part of the reason there was so much anger about the "not wanting to waste a year" was because the fan base knew this was not an easy fix. However, and something you've spent plenty of time arguing with people over, is the entire premise of why Getz is here. Jerry is a lot of things, but he's not a dumb person. He stood in front of the media last season, twice actually (he also held a private, media-selected interview in his office the same day as the press conference) and in both cases, cited the main reason of hiring Getz was not wanting to waste a year, he knew the people in the organization, he knew what needed to be fixed and corrected. He wanted this fixed, but also fast, because he doesn't have a lot of time left to waste, and because Getz had been here, he made the most sense. While I don't think Jerry truly thought 2024 would be a team competing for a playoff spot, clearly he didn't think it would go like this, otherwise we don't get two statements from him at the end of the year. The frustration from fans comes from the idea that because Chris Getz has worked within the White Sox organization, he automatically has a leg up on any other human that could have assumed this role. No one else on Earth could have accomplished what Chris Getz did in 2024, because he already knew what was broken, as he was already "inside" the building. The hell with interviewing anyone from the outside, or from organizations that have run laps around the White Sox the last decade plus, Chris Getz can fix this thing faster than anyone because he knows the team. And that's why he is assuming the role of GM for the White Sox. That's it. And that's why people won't accept him as deserving of this role.- Dear Sox fans
I understand what you are trying to communicate. Jerry should face the music and be forced to answer the questions that need to be answered. Your point (at least as far as I can tell) is that the media isn't going to ask or press him on anything that difficult, so it's not going to accomplish much. What should happen is Getz and Jerry should host a town hall at SoxFest, and give fans the opportunity to actually voice their frustration and get answers, but that will NEVER happen, for obvious reasons.- Dear Sox fans
I don't think that is true at all. There is a difference between people not believing it would work or be effective, and Jerry actually thinking it's true. I believe Jerry thought Getz would know best and he thought 2024 could have been a "bounce back type year" if guys were healthy. I also believe Jerry is lazy and doesn't care much, and part of the decision was that it was simply an easy, right in front of him choice. But I don't think Jerry was straight up "lying" with that line, at least not in his eyes. - 24-25 NFL Thread
