  1. Yeah the Sox aren’t getting him, and honestly, I’m not too mad about that given his nerve issues.
  2. I can’t say I know much of anything about this guy, but from the looks of it, it seems like he is more qualified to be the GM than Getz is.
  3. Maybe if they actually put a good team on the field more than once every 15 years, people would show up. Maybe they should think of that.
  4. Did Jerry Reinsdorf not own the team when they signed Abreu?
  5. While I don’t disagree and hope you’re right, I think the White Sox legacy with Cuban players was a factor in the Abreu signing. The Sox don’t have the same history with Japanese players. Though it is worth mentioning that Shingo Takatsu was Murakami’s manager in Japan.
  6. I don’t care. He has insane power and is 25 years old. He fits perfectly with this core.
  7. Seeing some of these free agent contracts, I’m really interested to see what Robert would have gotten on the open market.
  8. I don’t know how you could have Vargas, Sosa, and Vientos on the same team. They are all basically variations of the same player.
  9. Them Ishbia cash infusions already making a difference.
  10. That Meidroth projection would be great Teel and Colson should be better than that I’d take that from Vargas Benintendi, Robert, and Sosa all seem fairly realistic Seems slightly pessimistic on Quero and optimistic for Baldwin
  11. From what I can tell, he was ranked #44 in the 2023 class coming out of high school per MLB.com. So he was already highly thought of out of high school, but has obviously taken an even bigger jump.
  12. Interesting in that he has the size and power to play 1B, and that scenario would mean that Carlson, Antonacci, Roch etc are all really good. But yeah, I would prefer Colson to stay on the left side. I think 3B is probably the ideal spot for him in the long term.
  13. I had several people in my replies yesterday suggest moving Colson to 1B in the long term. I can’t say that thought ever occurred to me, but it’s interesting.
  14. I just don’t know how they are going to navigate having both Paez and Alberto on the roster together. They are both so raw and inexperienced. If one of them sticks throughout the season, I’d consider that a win.
