Sale pitching in AS Game in Emergency situation ONLY
My feeling regarding Sale pitching yesterday is this: If he wasn't going to start, I didn't want him to pitch at all.
-
Chris Sale is the most bestest pitcher evar!
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 14, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) If the voting were held today, would Sale win the CY? No. But all he has to do is lower is ERA by half a run or so in the second half of the season and I think he has it in the bag.

Sale pitching in AS Game in Emergency situation ONLY
I'm sort of glad in a way that he's not pitching. The games against KC are far more important, so I want him to pitch in one of those games instead.

Post All-Star Game Rotation
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 14, 2015 -> 08:38 AM) espn.com lists Samardzija/Danks for Friday, Quintana for Saturday and TBA for Sunday. If I were Robin, I'd let Erik Johnson start after Shark on Friday and give Sale the ball on Sunday. I just don't see how Robin could just give one of these games away by putting in Danks. These are "must win" games, so a Danks should not pitch in this series.

Why the f*** is Danks pitching the first day back? Move him to the bullpen for gods sake.

GT: White Sox (41-44) vs. Scrubs (46-40) [1:20CT / 2:20ET]
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 11:13 AM) Is Jose hurt? What's the point of not playing him today otherwise? He looked like he was favoring one of his knees the past few games. Hopefully he'll be available as a pinch hitter today.

Please give Q some runs to work with today. They need to knock Arrieta out of the game as soon as they can.

Samardzija Trade Packages
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 09:36 AM) This is why they'll try. If they get in, they can win the whole thing with their pitching. This is also why I'm so hesitant to move Samardzija. Even if the offense improves just a LITTLE bit, this team will be really good.

Sox Winner!!!
Let's win tomorrow and sweep those damn Cubs out of Wrigley.

That looked really good off the bat.

I didn't want them to pinch hit for him either. Give him another inning.

Would you guys pinch hit for Sale here?

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 04:17 PM) This is why I dislike the NL. The Cubs could be threatening to score a run here with a man on, but instead, here comes Jon "1-68" Lester with 2 outs! It benefits us anyway so who cares.

Sale needs a quick inning here.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:41 PM) It's so nice being able to listen to the Cubs broadcast instead of Hawk. Intelligent and coherent baseball talk for once. You're not a true Sox fan if you don't like Hawk. Kasper is an idiot when it comes to knowing anything about baseball.

QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 03:32 PM) As much as I hate bunting, Sanchez needs to be bunting every time in that situation. Now you give Lester the chance for the quick inning. Why would you bunt in front of the pitcher? That'd be silly even if the pitcher hitting was Carlos Zambrano.

That slider just wasn't fair.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) Time for Sale to show the other fans what a real ace looks like. Can't wait until Monday when cub fans begin talking even more about how they should trade for Sale or Q. Us Sox fans should have many laughs at the expense of typical dumb cub fans, as usual. GO WHITE SOX!!! We can't deny that Alcantara and Castro for Sale is an amazing offer.

Post All-Star Game Rotation
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 09:54 AM) They'll each get three starts after the break in July, but they need to set the tone right after the break. Plus the long range schedule matches up well for Sale to get as many starts as possible. Sale's schedule: 7-17 vs KC 7-22 vs StL 7-27 at Bos 8-1 vs NY 8-7 at KC 8-12 vs LAA 8-18 at LAA 8-23 at Sea 8-28 vs Sea 9-3 at Min 9-8 vs Cle 9-13 vs Min 9-18 at Cle 9-23 at Det 9-29 vs KC 10-4 vs Det (last day of regular season if they need him) They should skip his starts against Minnesota so he can win the Cy Young haha.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 09:54 AM) Bryant is going to run into one against Sale? No. Sale goes 7 shutout innings, then he is pinch hit for since he's over 100 pitches. Soler hits one in the eighth off of Duke.

GT: White Sox (40-44) vs. Scrubs (46-39) [3:05CT / 4:05ET]
Sale will have 12 strikeouts, and Lester will have 7. Sox win 3-1.

Sale needs to start as many times as possible if the Sox want to get back into the race.
