Not for long, Gore is coming soon. Paddack will most likely be the odd one out at that point.

I’m just thinking out loud here, but a Codi Heuer (plus more obviously) for Chris Paddack swap might make sense for both sides. The bullpen is the Padres glaring weakness right now, and Paddack has become an afterthought for them now after all their SP acquisitions.

Think about it this way: even if Cruz was garbage on the Sox, at least he wouldn’t be playing for the Twins anymore. There is literally no downside to this.
