Kluber scares me because of his injury issues. But I guess it’s not that big of a risk if he’s willing to take a 1 year deal.

Why not bring back Quintana for a year as an insurance policy? We can’t bank on Cease and/or Kopech becoming good pitchers in 2021 as of now for various reasons.

If the Sox thought Howard was the best option, they would have just drafted him. The fact that they didn’t is telling considering he’s a local product with ties to the ACE program. Trading two prospects that are more highly thought of for him doesn’t make any sense.

What would be a comparable White Sox package to what the Padres gave up? Kopech would be the headliner I’m assuming?

You’re crazy if you think those guys are better options than Musgrove.

Musgrove’s talent + Katz’s coaching would have the potential to be amazing for the Sox. Not to mention that pitchers tend to get better once they leave Pittsburgh anyway.

Yeah I already have more faith in the Cishek and Cheesy Beef accounts of the world than that guy.

I’d have to think a “splash” would be Springer since we’re talking about the Mets.

Lol Musgrove is a lot better than a #5 replacement level starting pitcher.

Pittsburgh is obviously blowing things up. Musgrove could be a good fit for the Sox. Thoughts?

Cespedes obviously isn’t as highly thought of as Robert was when the Sox signed him, but I’m still excited about this. You can never have too much young talent.

If including Jared Kelley gets the Sox 3 years of Luis Castillo, you do it.

I didn’t even think of adding Moustakas to a potential deal but it’s actually a good idea. He can play several different positions, is already familiar with the division, and his contract isn’t that ridiculous. If the Sox could get Castillo at a lower price simply by taking on Moustakas they should absolutely consider it.

That’s great and all and I appreciate it, but there really isn’t any need for the La Russa BS to derail every single thread. And this is coming from someone who hated the hire the second it was announced.

I guess not but I really enjoy rooting for this current Sox team because TA7, Abreu, Giolito, etc are class acts and appear to be good people off of the field as well.

Bauer is a such a dick. Obviously I want him from a baseball standpoint because he’s a great pitcher but he wouldn’t be easy to root for.
