  1. If signing Hendriks will tap them out financially, then Jerry just needs to sell the team.
  2. What does that have to do with signing Hendriks though?
  3. What does Hendriks have to do with the second stream of talent? It’s not like the Sox would have to trade for him.
  4. Looks like Jerry cheaped out again. Then Vinnie Duber and the rest of the water carriers will try to convince everyone that the Sox made the right choice by not signing Hendriks. What else is new.
  5. Except he’s nothing like Keppinger.
  6. Gray has had two really good years: 2015 and 2019. He’s been alright but nothing special the rest of his career. If the Sox are going to make a blockbuster, they might as well go for Woodruff since he’s better and controlled for longer. But yeah, I think Musgrove is probably the most realistic option.
  7. I’d rather just get Musgrove and give up lesser assets than go “all in” for Gray. Like I said, Sonny is good but I don’t view him as a true difference maker.
  8. Am I the only one who isn’t in love with Sonny Gray? He’s alright and on a team friendly contract, but he wouldn’t be my first choice to empty the farm for.
  9. I would much rather trade for Woodruff than Gray if the Sox are going to make another trade.
  10. Unless he can play right field, I don’t know why the Sox would trade young, promising pitching for him considering pitching is the biggest need right now.
  11. Why would the Sox trade young pitching for Lux?
  12. Personally, I want a high end reliever, another starting pitcher, and a left handed bat of some kind before even thinking about the backup catcher spot. It’s fairly low on my list of priorities.
  13. Well they aren’t going to get Bauer so I don’t know what other starting pitcher they could even overpay for. Maybe Kluber.
  14. The Sox will probably have to overpay to get it done but I don’t really care.
  15. The seemingly light return for Darvish might help the Sox if they go after Musgrove.
  16. Yet another instance of Reinsdorf holding this franchise back because he is cheap.
  17. I’m kind of mad the Sox didn’t beat that offer.
  18. Seeing the Cubs fall apart is so damn satisfying.
  19. So your goal is to win the division? The goal should be to win the World Series. Period.
  20. Kluber scares me because of his injury issues. But I guess it’s not that big of a risk if he’s willing to take a 1 year deal.
  21. Why not bring back Quintana for a year as an insurance policy? We can’t bank on Cease and/or Kopech becoming good pitchers in 2021 as of now for various reasons.
  22. If the Sox thought Howard was the best option, they would have just drafted him. The fact that they didn’t is telling considering he’s a local product with ties to the ACE program. Trading two prospects that are more highly thought of for him doesn’t make any sense.
  23. What would be a comparable White Sox package to what the Padres gave up? Kopech would be the headliner I’m assuming?
