  1. Mendick might be a decent replacement for Madrigal, but they absolutely need to get an outfielder. Leury isn’t going to cut it.
  2. Beating your meat solves any problem.
  3. I disagree, I don’t want to see a combo of Leury/Mendick/Eaton play every day for the next month and a half.
  4. They typically don’t provide updates for these kind of things until some time in the afternoon.
  5. I was of the opinion that the Sox needed to add reinforcements even before Madrigal got hurt, but they definitely need to now. An outfielder, a right handed set up man, and potentially a 2nd baseman (if Madrigal is out for awhile) are obvious areas of need. Who do you think the Sox should trade for and who would you give up for them?
  6. I bet he’s done for the season. That did not look good at all.
  7. I don’t understand the logic behind taking out Keuchel, he could’ve pitched one more inning.

I would be really nervous giving Rodon a contract like Eovaldi got...there’s just not a long track record of him pitching at the level he currently is. I’d definitely give him a qualifying offer though, so at least the Sox would get a pick if he leaves.
  9. Lol what an overreaction
  10. You guys are also assuming Kelenic would have still developed the way he did if the Sox drafted him, which is far from a guarantee. This organization doesn’t exactly have the greatest track record as far as developing position players goes. But yes they still should’ve taken him over Madrigal.
  11. There are at least 3 automatic outs in the lineup tonight. Not going to score a whole lot of runs that way.
  12. This lineup just isn’t that good, they desperately need to get an outfielder. Leury and Hamilton isn’t going to cut it.
  13. Definitely doesn’t look good today. Maybe it’s because he lost adrenaline before he even went out there to pitch.
  14. He brought Hamilton in too early, other than that he did fine today.
  15. Not related to Robert but it looks like Buxton will be on the shelf for awhile too.
  16. is anyone else scared that the Sox are going to sign him? I feel like it’s either going to be the Sox or Cardinals.
  17. Thinking it will be postponed until tomorrow
  18. Those vague Josh Nelson tweets are so annoying. Either tell everyone what the news is or don’t say anything at all.
  19. Why are people acting like Adam Engel is the savior? He’s definitely better than he once was but he’s still not all that great against RHP.
  20. To be fair, Robert winces during every single game even when nothing happens. Obviously it must have been painful, but it doesn’t seem like he has the highest pain tolerance in the world either.
  21. So he’s delusional. Cool.
  22. Someone please explain to me what this even means.
  23. There’s two approaches against a guy like Bieber. Swing early in the count against fastballs or try to foul off a bunch of pitches and up his pitch count. Hopefully they try something different than last time because that clearly didn’t work.
  24. No, the Sox need to put their best lineup out there tonight against one of the best pitchers in the league. Can’t just concede games, especially against a divisional opponent.
