  1. Assuming the South Loop stadium is built, this time build a stadium that people like. I've read a number of times that 20% of Cubs attendance comes from out of state, The White Sox don't draw that many fans from out of state. The new stadium will attract alot of fans from out of state if the stadium is nice. They will easily draw 2 million fans a year in the South Loop if they build a nice stadium.
  2. I can't help but wonder if the South Loop stadium doesn't happen. Will one of the suburbs try to build a stadium for the White Sox.? Rosemont wanted to build a stadium for the Cubs. I know that the Mayor of Rosemont is a White Sox fan and I know enough about Rosemont to know that they would build a stadium without alot of trouble.
  3. Pritzker gave $181 million dollars recently to the illegal immigrants. Is he going to keep giving millions of dollars to the immigrants? It seems to me that there is no end game going that route. Is that a benefit to taxpayers?
  4. The Marlins have Burger and Anderson on the left side of the infield. As of now the White Sox have Moncada and Dejong on the left side of the infield. I would rather have the Marlins left side of the infield over what the White Sox have. I'm hoping Montgomery has a good spring training and is the Opening Day shortstop.
  5. i don't take drugs nor do I drink alcohol. The White Sox are my only addiction.
  6. There is an old saying, If you only support the team when they're winning you're not a real fan of the team.
  7. All I can say is The White Sox are coming, tra la, tra la!!!!
  8. The lineup of Benidenti, Moncada, Robert Jr, Eloy, Vaughn, Moncada and hopefully Montgomery will lead the team to the playoffs. This lineup is going to score alot of runs. It will be an exciting team and White Sox fans will be dancing in the streets once they're in the playoffs.
  9. The owners of the Rays agreed to pay over $600 million towards their new stadium. The owners of the A's agreed to pay over $400 million towards their new Vegas stadium. I would think by spending that much money they would be part owners of those stadiums. If JR gives millions of dollars towards the South Loop stadium I would like to think the stadium will be built.
  10. Art Allyn wanted to build a new White Sox stadium in 1967 at Roosevelt and Clark. He was going to pay for it. The City of Chicago (Mayor Daley) wouldn't give him the permits to build the stadium. s
  11. The attendance will start off bad at the beginning of the season. Then after the team starts winning the attendance will pickup. They might even draw over 2 million.
  12. I've been under the impression JR wants this deal done sometime this year. If that doesn't happen what will he do?
  13. I hope the new stadium gets built. This is where it should have been built the last time instead of Bridgeport. That being said, if its not built I wonder what JR will do? Will he try to extend the present lease? Or will he try to move the team out of state? Or do something else?
  14. If this stadium gets built I wouldn't think JR and his family would sell the team. The first few years of the stadium would be a goldmine for the owners. If anything they might sell the team a few years after the stadium is opened.
  15. I agree with you. The new stadium would be a great thing for the White Sox franchise.
  16. If what you're saying is true about the White Sox putting up $600-$700 million, I would think the deal will get done.
  17. There's an old saying, if you're only a fan of a team when their winning, you're not a real fan of the team.
  18. Eloy said earlier that he 's going to hit 40 home runs this year. If he plays 150 games and hits 40 home runs its going to be a great year for the team.
  19. I'm just wondering. If the stadium was built and nothing else, what would it cost for just a new stadium?. I'm assuming the billion dollars being asked for is for the total project. I haven't read what the cost of the new stadium would be.
  20. 10% seems a bit low. Cities wouldn't be building these stadiums if they weren't making money. Portland has major plans on the table which would build a new baseball stadium and other buildings around it.
  21. Great comments!!!!
  22. JR ruined the present stadium with the upper deck that everybody has hated from the beginning. I hope he stays out of the stadium design business with the new stadium.
  23. One of the reasons why I'm a season ticket holder is because of the parking at the present stadium. I buy a season ticket parking package and it comes out to $18.00 a game for parking. Getting in and out of the parking lot is very easy. It has to be one of the best parking situations in MLB. I would assume and hope that parking lots will be built at the new stadium.
  24. You've mentioned recently that you expect a good year from Benedenti. If he bounces back with good years from Moncada, Eloy and Kopech this team could be good. The bullpen scares me but lets see how that plays out.
  25. Eloy, Kopech and Moncada are all going to have real good 2024 seasons. This should help lead the team into playoff contention.
