  1. Yes, the reliever saved the 2 games at KC. They still didn't get anything in return for Robert Jr. This is a endless cycle of a losing franchise. I remember a few years ago at the trading deadline they traded David Robertson for nothing. It was a salary dump just like what they did when they traded Robert Jr. Winning franchises don't trade their best players for nothing. You add to the team, not make it worse. Acuna, the main person who got in return for Robert Jr is nothing but a utility player. If the White Sox released him I doubt if any MLB would claim him and put him on their roster. New White Sox ownership can't come soon enough for me. This endless cycle of losing with no hope is lousy.
  2. Getz knows what he's doing. He's doing what JR tells him to do. Keep the payroll as low as possible.
  3. Both Giolito and Kopech have not signed with anybody this off season. I heard that Giolito wants a 2 year contract. I've heard nothing about Kopech. Is Kopech retired? I wonder what happened to Tim Andersen. He seems to have disappeared. I wonder if hes playing in Japan.
  4. Yes it was time for Robert Jr to move on, but still they received nothing in return for him, nothing. They would have been better off keeping him. It was simply a salary dump when they traded him.
  5. Meidroth is hitting .224 and had the highest batting average of the starters tonight.
  6. He's the new version of Leury Garcia.
  7. Problem is Getz and JR are content with this situation.
  8. I lived thru past White Sox ownerships that were going broke {John Allyn and Bill Veeck) but this is a much different situation with JR. He's not broke and he's a multi billionaire. How much more money does he need? Most people couldn't spend what he's worth. This has to be one of the most shameful things in Chicago Sports history.
  9. I've said it before and i will say it again, the major objective of this management team is to have a low payroll. A low payroll is more important than winning games.
  10. Getz traded Cease and Robert Jr and received nothing in return. Those 2 trades would get most GMs fired.
  11. Wouldn't it be something if they got swept in KC and the manager gets fired?
  12. The only thing that i can figure is Sosa isn't highly thought of by the manager. It wouldn't surprise me if Sosa was moved off the team sooner rather than later.
  13. I've always wondered how i would have done as the White Sox GM if JR would have interviewed me for the job. I don't think I would have been as bad as Getz has been.
  14. I'm beginning to believe this manager should go also. He's been using Taylor as a one inning starting pitcher which is a waste of his talent. He would improve our bullpen. Today the team had runners on with one out in the 7th inning and a lefty pitching for the Orioles. He had Sosa on the bench and instead he pinched hit somebody else who grounded into a DP. i would think most managers would have had Sosa hitting in that situation. I've thought from the beginning of this season that this management doesn't care if they win. The main objective is to keep the payroll as low as possible. I still feel that way.
  15. Doe anybody believe the White Sox have lost money the last 6 years? I'll believe it when JR opens the financial books to the public, which he won't do.
  16. 1) This offense has been hurt with the injuries to Teel, Baldwin and Hays. 2) Quero can't hit from the left side. He should consider being a strictly right handed hitter full time, 3) I find it odd that Lucas Giolito has not signed with anybody. Is he hurt? 4) I can't comprehend why Taylor is starting games and pitching the first inning. If he was in the bullpen they might of won yesterdays game by bringing him in the late innings.
  17. .The owners of the Rays have given the government a deadline of April 15, 2026 in regards to the funding of the proposed new stadium. It will be curious to see what happens if the government does not come up with the money. Seems like most cities don't want to spend money on these new stadiums. That being said, Orlando is willing to build a new baseball stadium and i would think that is where the Rays will eventually move.
  18. Feel the Momentum, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!
  19. I stopped going to Wrigley Field years ago. My last time there was in 2002. It took us over a hour and a half to get out of their parking lot. I'm told their parking costs $65 now. Its so expensive to go there. Its not worth it to me anymore.
  20. I thought it would have been best to keep Robert. He's better than any outfielder they have now. If he would have had a good first half he could have been moved for more than what they received from the Mets. This trade for Acuna could turn out as bad as the Cease trade with the Padres.
  21. If this keeps up they have 3 choices: 1) Keep this team together and hope for the best. 2) Bring up their top prospects from the minors, 3) Fire the manager.
  22. The White Sox starting pitching hasn't been very good so far .Lucas Giolito hasn't been signed by anybody. I don't know if he's hurt or he wants too much money. He would be an improvement over some of the starters on this team.

The Bulls are an out and out goldmine. I find it amazing that Bulls fans pay big money year after year and they have bad teams. I realize in a metro area of 9 million it should not be hard selling out if somebody wants to see NBA basketball but still I think its insane to pay that type of money for a bad product.
  24. The current White Sox slogan is Feel The Momentum. If the team keeps losing I wonder if the slogan quietly goes away.
