Interesting post. Keep in mind that last month Forbes said the White Sox franchise is valued at 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS.(14th in MLB) They also said the White Sox bring in $260 million dollars a year. The team payroll this year is $60 million dollars. In other words this team is making some serious money.

1) Look at the bright side. You will see Moncada in one of baseballs most beautiful parks. 2) The owner/management team threw up the white flag on this season before it even started. The team has holes but the biggest holes are on the pitching staff. The starters and bullpen simply can't get anybody out. The 1927 Yankees lineup couldn't win with this White Sox pitching staff

The team would have won at least 90 wins, maybe 95 wins. From there the team would have gone on to glory in the playoffs and World Series.

I think the 2018 White Sox would have been better with Arrieta, Chatwood, Jennings Robertson, and Moustakas. Alot better.

This has already started. Opening Day wasn't close to being soldout. (Yeah it was cold and miserable that day, but still Opening day tickets are usally soldout way in advance of the game.) Most of the games I've been to since Opening Day have had sparse crowds. Even tho they're announcing tickets sold the actual in house attendance has been less than 2,000 fans at these games. One of the games I was at there were more vendors and ushers than actual fans. I realize that attendance isn't as important as it use to be but still the small crowds have to be hurting the organization money wise to some degree.

1) Robertson and Jennings would still be on the team. 2) Shields would have never been on this team. 3) Arrieta accepted a 3 year contract with the Phillies with a 2 year TEAM OPTION. If he would have accepted the same deal here, he would be wearing a White Sox uniform. 4) Mike Moustakas signed a contract for $5 million dollars with a option for a second year. I would have signed him for 3 years. 5) Soria would not be on this team. 6) I would have tried to acquire another starting pitcher, maybe Chatwood. Due to the fact the first place team in our division (the Indians) has a losing record, I think the changes I would have made this team would be in contention. My objective would be to try and get the team in the Playoffs. Once you're in the Playoffs anything can happen. It appears to me as if this organization and Hahn held up the white flag before the season even started. I don't believe in tear downs and holding up a white flag. I want to win.

If I had been the GM this pitching staff would not have been this bad.

I read today where the 2018 White Sox have a pitching ERA of 5.25 which is the second highest ERA in franchise history. The 1934 White Sox had a ERA of 5.41. I don't doubt for a minute that this pitching staff could easily become the worst staff by the end of the season. They simply can't get anybody out. I can't help but wonder what is the team going to do about the pitching staff in 2019?. I will assume that Kopech will be on the team in 2019. There doesn't appear to be anybody at Charlotte who can help the team besides Kopech. What are they going to do this off season? Are they going to sign some free agents who can pitch? Or are they going to keep these same pitchers who are here now?

My interview with JR. I would of answered any question he asked me. And believe me if he wanted a honest answer about anything, I'm the guy. I've always thought my strong point when it comes to MLB is I'm able to evaluate talent. I think I'm good at it. Frankly I think Hahn is bad at it. This present White Sox team would be a lot different today if I was running the show, even with this so called rebuild. You would have more talent on this team now and believe me I wouldn't break the bank doing it . You could of easily had a competitive team this year even with the rebuild. I actually had the chance to work for the White Sox years ago and I couldn't do it . I had other concerns at the time. I've always regretted not working for them. I would like to do it now but it looks like that's not going to happen.

I was never more serious in my life. All I wanted was a interview. I would have taken my chances. If JR didn't think I was qualified, fine. I would have given him the most memorable interview of his life. Amongst other things I would have told him just give me 2 years as GM. If I couldn't turn this mess around I would simply leave. He wouldn't even have to pay me that much. I'm semi wealthy and I don't need alot of money. I didn't get a response from JR and unfortunately Hahn was rehired.

Last year I thought Hahn was not going to be rehired. I wrote JR a letter asking him if I can be interviewed for the White Sox GM job. Turns out Hahn was rehired and I didn't get a response from JR to my letter. Looks like Hahn is going to be the GM as long as JR owns the team. In 2001 JR hired Roland Hemond to assist Ken Williams. I'm going to write JR another letter and ask him if he would bring back Hemond again to assist Hahn. Roland Hemond is 88 years old and has forgotten more about baseball than Hahn will ever know. Perhaps Hemond will help him right this ship. What harm would it do to bring Hemond back? Then again Hahn might be offended by Hemond being hired and he'll resign.

I must correct myself. This is the worse WHITE SOX pitching staff I have seen in my lifetime.

I can always hope JR sells the team. As of this morning the White Sox now have the worse record in MLB. They have the worse pitching staff I have ever seen in my lifetime. They probably have ONE good pitcher on the team who anybody would want (Lopez). This is going to be a historically bad team with no end in sight. I wish I felt differently about this situation but I don't. I regret renewing my season ticket package this year. But you have to have hope in everything you do, I hope JR sells the team.

Being historically bad is just plain bad as far as I'm concerned. We need new ownership/management. I have a slogan they can use. We Will Make The White Sox Great Again!.

I admire your optimism about the future of the White Sox. I hope you're right.

This whole rebuild is unacceptable. Nothing like this has ever been done before. Some hard core White Sox fans are supporting this so called rebuild/tanking. The average White Sox fan is walking away from this nonsense. Virtually every game I've been to this year has had a sparse crowd. They're announcing tickets sold. Believe me, most of these games don't have 2,000 fans in the stadium. The vendors are complaining about the small crowds because they're not making any money. The upper deck is closed for most of the games. This is the ugliest situation I've seen since the 1968-1970 seasons. I figure if the 2019 season is as bad as the 2018 season we might possibly see some major changes.

Robertson is a free agent at the end of this year. I would welcome him back in a minute. He's better than anybody we have in the bullpen now.

No I didn't but still the White Sox should have won this game. As former Raiders coach Al Davis use to say, "Just Win Baby". As I've stated before I think it was wrong to trade Robertson and Jennings last season. It has left this team with a horrendous bullpen. Rentieria thought so little of Bummer that he didn't bring him in the 9th inning today to face the batter who wound up hitting the winning home run.

I realized when Hahn traded our entire bullpen last mid season for nothing that this bullpen would be bad this year. I can now say that other than Lopez this entire pitching staff has to be the worse staff in my lifetime. Hahn has said the last 2 seasons that the team was "Mired In Mediocrity". And he might have been right but now this team is a out and out disaster. 4 of the 5 starters can't get anybody out and the bullpen is probably as bad as the starters. This is one of the most shameful things I have seen as a White Sox fan.

Lucas Giolito has been counted on to help lead the White Sox to the promised land in this so called "rebuild". His ERA is over .7. He simply can't get anybody out. If he continues to perform badly I wonder what the team is going to do with him. Will they put him in the bullpen? Or will they send him down to the minors? I find it interesting that the team won't promote Kopech and Jimenez but they keep Giolito and Engel on the team who aren't producing.

Believe me, you're not alone in your opinions of this ownership/management team of the White Sox. I've been a season ticket holder for years and I haven't been as down on this team/ownership/management since the late 1980s when JR almost moved the team to Florida. Most of the games I've been to have had the team losing and losing badly. The atmosphere has been depressing. The upper deck has been closed at most of these games because of the sparse crowds. They announced a crowd of 13,000 tickets sold last Thursday night. They didn't have 2,000 fans at the game. A lot of the season ticket holders aren't even showing up at the games. Recently MLB executive Tony Clark made a statement about certain teams not trying to win and he didn't think it was fair to the fans of those teams. I don't know what if anything MLB can do about situations like this but I wish they would do something. I never thought the White Sox would have a team as bad as the 1970 White Sox (they lost 106 games) but Unless things really change I can see this present team being as bad as that one.

A friend of mine (who is a Yankees fan) was talking about this White Sox "rebuild" asked me who would I like to see in charge of this "rebuild". His two choices were the present White Sox ownership/ management team and the present Cubs ownership/management team. I hated to admit it but I picked the Cubs ownership/management team. I wonder how many people would have chosen the present White Sox ownership/management team.

Hawk made a rather interesting comment today. He said you can judge the GM of the team by its won - loss record. Hahn has been the GM here for 6 years and has not had one winning season. The talent on this team is pathetic. Delmonico has been the cleanup man on the team most of the season and he has 1 homerun with 6RBIs. I can't remember the White Sox having a hitter batting 4th with only 6 RBIs at this stage of the season.
