  1. The White Sox have definitely improved the team this off season. But still, the bottom of the rotation with Noesi and Danks scares me to death. I try to point out the positive. I'm not the second coming of Jay "Woman Beater" Mariotti. I don't see the 2015 White Sox making the playoffs unless they acquire another decent starting pitcher. Maybe Noesi and Danks will have a good 2015 season. I hope so but I'm not counting on it.
  2. QUOTE (My_Sox_Summer @ Jan 12, 2015 -> 04:57 PM) Sorry that I have jacked this thread. It was to be expected. I wasn't really liked over there by many of the admins, they just needed an excuse. I do like the non-confrontational approach, makes it much easier. WSi is a G-Rated site. I read that there membership is getting smaller by the year. Fewer people are reading that site. I was banned once for some comment I made about the Cubs player Castro. When I make comments on that site, I watch what I say. I find SoxTalk to my liking as opposed to WSI. If they ever banned me again, I would never read it again.
  3. I've gone to every Soxfest in the past. I've always gone on Saturday and it was always jammed packed every year. I don't know about the Friday and Sunday crowds but all the Saturday crowds were big. I couldn't get a ticket for the Saturday date this year. I couldn't get on line. So instead I bought a ticket for Sunday. I like going every year. I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully Hahn will make an announcement that weekend that the White Sox have acquired another starting pitcher.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2015 -> 10:07 AM) I honestly think if you looked at the teams biggest holes, we got the best players available when price was considered for each of them in Samardjiza, Cabrera, and Robertson. No one in baseball has had a better off season than Rick Hahn. Hahn has definitely upgraded the team this off season. Still, if the White Sox are going to contend for a playoff spot in 2015, the team needs another starting pitcher. Noesi and Danks are not going to get the team into the playoffs. Hopefully Hahn can get the team another starter before opening day.
  5. 1) If they would of built the Cell at Roosevelt and Clark, we wouldn't be talking about building a new stadium for the White Sox. The City of Chicago wanted to build the stadium in the South Loop. JR wanted to move to Addison/Dupage County. When Addison didn't work out, they wound up at its present location. The City of Chicago withdrew the South Loop offer and the white Sox got stuck building a stadium where it should not of been built. A terrible move for the White Sox. 2) Anybody who thinks the government won't build another stadium for the White Sox is wrong. As long as there is money to be made, a new stadium is a possibility. Keep in mind the City is building a new arena for Depaul, who nobody cares about. Mayor Daley was going to build an Olympic Stadium for the Olympics which would of cost upwards of $300 million dollars. The city was then going to knock it down after the games were over with. 3) I wouldn't be surprised to see Rocky wirtz buy the White Sox. He's one of the investors
