  1. At least he played solid defense in the past
  2. The sign old guys thing now has at least shifted to "culture" guys since Pedro can't run a clubhouse or w.e. (they rip on him plenty), but they have said that they want prospects to earn/win jobs instead of just being handed them like Colas essentially was last year. There's always going to be some meatball in that podcast given what it is, but with the way the last two seasons have gone they've cranked up the realism.
  3. There are definitely meatball moments still, but they've been significantly less "puppies and rainbows" on the Sox for a while, McGuffey especially.
  4. Hosted by Gregg in one of his many estates
  5. Russo said he'd retire if the Dbacks won game 7, and "shockingly" did not in fact retire after they won.
  6. Should be available on the MLB app as well.
  7. The Sox really do know how to pick em ehh?
  8. No argument from me on the team not signing a real RFer. I would've rather signed him than trot Gavin and the rotating mess of suck out there, but he's still a poor defender at the position, which is something that a couple nice plays in October doesn’t wash away.
  9. If you ignore his advanced defensive metrics from this season (entire career TBH) and base your defensive evaluation on a couple plays from October then you may be cooking.
  10. On the WST Podcast with Josh Barfield, he said that Ramos is "a bit nicked up" right now, which explains the recent absences.
  11. I can't find any posted but I did find that he generated seven swings & misses in his first start, five in his second, and nine his most recent outing.
  12. If the Sox want Merrifield so bad, they can just bring back Elvis.
  13. I do find it interesting that they included in the release that CJ & Hasler have been "offered" positions in PD. Obviously no guarantee that they accept, but seems like they're still deciding if they want the roles or can find better gigs elsewhere. I don't recall seeing something like that in a Sox press release before.
  14. I believe Eder is supposed to start today.
  15. This is the broadcast schedule link https://www.mlb.com/arizona-fall-league/live-streams, it doesn't look like all games are available.
  16. Absolutely, they're idiocy knows no bounds. Appeasing Pedro by entertaining this ridiculous move would be the cherry on top of this turd sandwich of an org.
  17. It makes sense that the Royals wouldn't want to give him away, but no team SHOULD part with anything of substantial value for an aging catcher that doesn't hit or catch particularly well at this point in time.
  18. The games are listed here on the fall league site https://www.mlb.com/arizona-fall-league/scores/2023-10-03
