I'd much prefer to see Elko get promoted to WS sooner rather than later, he's playing against much younger competition in Kanny. He seems to be a big character guy as well, which is a plus.
My mom had hers burst/removed last summer and she wasn't allowed any lifting over 20 lbs for at least 4 weeks. Obviously she wasn't a professional athlete in her mid to late 20s so maybe there's some hope he can bounce back quicker. While the situation sucks, the initial recovery time frame seems reasonable.
According to BRef, he's about a half year older than the average age. It's not quite the Tim Elko in Kanny age gap, but I'd say Tatum is at least playing at the more appropriate level.
In a very sick way I'm kind of rooting for them to lose out the rest of the month and have it dip into the Twins series. I want to see how long they'll just let losses pile up before making some sort of change, like what is their breaking point?
If any organization could coach him up in both regards, the Dodgers would be at the top of the list. I'd guess the attitude would change for the better going from this clown show to a legitimate organization.
