There's a bar counter for your food/drink and a cushioned chair, that's way better than sitting at an aluminum picnic table IMO. That would hurt my ass after 3+ hours.

Ticket prices are out, and for most games it's only a few dollars more than the $22 you paid. In the end it's nearly the same thing, just a little higher up and with way more availability. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/tickets/pricing

Morrisey - If MLB isn’t careful, it will die by its own boring

22k is still awful, though. Maybe they could've gotten 30 in a better location. -

This is sooooo much more complicated and time consuming than just having 1&2 earn byes and 3-6 & 4-5 play a 3 game series, ideally just at the higher seeds park. -

16 games vs. 162. Don't be ridiculous. -

If the Rays played where the Bolts did they would draw. Amalie is right in the heart of downtown and very accessible. Playing way out in St. Pete is a killer for the Rays. Just as elsewhere in the state, the Panthers play in the middle of nowhere and no one goes. They would draw much better if they played where the Heat do. -
The Twin Cities are great but MOA sucks!

Zobrist made 62 starts in the outfield and just 42 at 2nd last year.

Cubs bringing in mystery partner for network
soxfan18 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
College teams - All are tied to their conference TV deals, so unless you're talking coaches shows and the like, not an option. Fire - Signed with ESPN+ for 2 more seasons Wouldn't be surprised if they end up carrying Wolves games. They currently air their games as time buys on CW50 and The U Too. Marquee could offer to show them for free and would give them increased exposure. -
Cubs bringing in mystery partner for network

Writer spun this bad. The partner Crane likely was talking about is Sinclair, not a team partner. And the multiple others is the TV providers who are involved in negotiations. -

This may surprise you, but a lot of people couldn't give a shit about the Bulls/NBA.

Doubt he has one, he's endorsed by Jordan Brand.

Merkin works for MLB Advanced Media, a holding company that the White Sox and Phillies each own 1/30th of. He does not receive a paycheck by the club.

You do realize the difference between 250/8 and 350/10 is under 4 million a year, right? The total means nothing here.

Wouldn't worry about what a local anchor says. His job is to read off a prompter...

Nope. It's still owned 40% by Reinsdorf, 20% by Wirtz, 20% by Ricketts, and 20% by Comcast, and will be that way until the contract ends after the 2019 season.

Comcast owns NBC. They just changed the name so the branding was the same and had synergy with NBC Sports nationally.

2017-2018 NHL discussion thread

? We saw a new champion in 2012, the Kings. -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 10:58 AM) I kinda feel like they should just schedule 2 of them the last weekend of the season and have a 5-game series. With expanded rosters that isn't an issue. I kinda feel like the team competing for a playoff spot may have a problem with that.

Do people here really have no sense of how expensive retractable roofs are?

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 23, 2018 -> 02:27 PM) Yikes, 55 games on WGN will screw a lot of downstate folks. Were there that many last year? The games that WGN has always had the rights to but aired on WPWR are now all on WGN. So no different than it's been the last decade.
