Reinsdorf paid for two three peat NBA championship teams. Manny Machado did not look like he was worth it. Doesn't mean that JR was cheap. Manny hasn't been on a team that won a WS. Kelenic had 3 hits...well actually 2. The third one should have been an error. On one of his hits to Center he challenged the arm of Mike Trout. Gunned down. Kelenic interfered with Tristan Peters and collided with him, after Peters called for a fly ball. Kelenic bobbled a ball in RF allowing a single to get turned into a double. But, if you didn't watch the game, you would think he just had a great game. I'm hoping Kelenic improves but we shall see.

Comiskey, Rate and the previously proposed Armor Park are in a South side neighborhood that fans have been going to for over 100 years. Placing the stadium in a considerably less accessible, less convenient location could very well result in fewer fans attending games, not more. And unlike many North side Cub fans who use trains/mass transit, White Sox fans, especially families, are probably not going to take a train from far SW suburbs to get there for various reasons, one of which is that most White Sox games are at night. There is no "entertainment area" within walking distance of the 78 or the Amtrak site. I suggested an alternative at 18th and Canal which might have possibilities, but Ishbia doesn't own that. Finally, let's not be so quick to characterize Reinsdorfs as being "cheap" a meme that is doubly terrible considering his ethnicity. Everyone knows that Reinsdorf has made many baseball related decisions that have been wrong. However, in most cases , as Chairman, he relied on GMs and Managers. I am not a judge of character, but it seems that JR has been pretty fair to players and employees over the past 40+ years. He and his late wife have also used their status and their money to support philanthropic causes, engage the South side community (i.e., the Ace program) and reach out to handicapped and underprivileged kids. 100% False. Bridgeport has been gentrified to the East where most residential is located. The parking areas are secured and safe. There would be safety concerns for fans if they walked around the South Loop at night. There are no "safe" areas downtown, even down the mag mile/ Water Tower shopping area. Most of those who complain about the stadium don't go to many games now and probably never will. It is quite possible that relocating Sox Park will become inconvenient for South suburban Sox fans and end up reducing attendance. Sometimes choosing the easiest most sensible alternative is the hardest thing to do. The last rendering that I believe was reportedly connected to Ishbia and his PIE firm did not appear to have much thought behind it. (i.e., a retro stadium next to the modern Fire stadium design, walking across elevated RR bridge to get to the stadium, or relocating numerous RR tracks only to be located next to the BNSF rail bone yard. The limited hangout road, so to speak, is for the White Sox and JR to sign a lease extension and kick the stadium relocation matter down the road for 5 or 10 years. Let's see how the "78" and Fire stadium works out during that time period.

Kay - another player that Getz made a mistake acquiring which means that Kay will stay in the rotation until he blows more games. Like the Acuna deal, it's so hard for Getz to admit he made a mistake. Acuna should have been DFAed already. Meanwhile, this game could be over after Kay gave up a 3 spot with some out of control pitching. Kay is the stopper...stopper of a White Sox winning streak.
