Reinsdorf considers moving White Sox out of Guaranteed Rate Field or selling team
Mostly true.... but I don't want all of that anger and desire for retribution to ever result in Chicago losing our White Sox. Some things are larger and more important than any one person whether that is in politics, sports or business.

Consider the source. Hinz is a cub fan. Enough said.

Sox conducting internal interviews to see if dramatic changes are needed
I wonder if the wording "internal interviews" is an accurate description of what has or will take place. For example, these internal "interviews" might only include JR , others in the ownership group, trusted friends, and his own family members. It seems counterintuitive that an internal interview would include Rick Hahn in order to determine his plight. Every team creates a budget for player contracts. You can argue that JR is cheap but I suggest that is not even a proper assertion to make. Aside from that, there are many examples of Hahn not using the budget for player contracts wisely. For example, Sox fans here (including myself) wanted the Sox to sign Cody Bellinger when he was a free agent. We know what happened. Cubs signed Cody for one year at $17.5 Million with an option for a second year. Meanwhile, Hahn signed Bennintendi to a 5 year $75 Million dollar deal. Now we get to watch Bellinger help the Cubs try to gain a play-off spot Just great..,And then there was the precipitous, unnecessary trade of Jake Burger, one of the moist popular players on the team.

JR is looking to buy time to interview a replacement for Hahn. Any new GM will likely want to hire a new Manager and coaching staff. JR needs someone on the level of Theo Epstein in order to replace both KW and Hahn at this point. This has to be a painful moment for JR. He got burned by these guys who as it turned out talked a good game but in the end, only dragged down what JR had built. The White Sox should be a perennial contender and make it to the play-offs more often than not. Instead, KW and Hahn presided over a s%*# show that made Jerry's White Sox a laughing stock. I am sure he has seen enough of it.

When Do the Sox Talk About a New Stadium??
Sox: Sox should obtain fan input for potential stadium rehab, then obtain conceptual drawings from a few of the leading architectural firms. I like some of the ideas above. I would like to see some outfield bleachers in place of as much 500 level seating as possible. Also a re-design of the scoreboard and elimination of the tinker toy metal framework in the outfield. Stick with replicating architectural shapes clued in from Old Comiskey. Bears: Think outside the box. Perhaps Armour Park field could be leased to the Bears for a new retractable domed stadium while keeping the historic field house there. Many advantages to the Bears and Bear fans given the existing infrastructure, public transportation and parking. If the Bears move to Arlington, try to get another NFL franchise for the South side fan contingent.

A Sobering Thought...
Yes, basically an entire new pitching staff with a few exceptions.

A Sobering Thought...
Sox scored enough runs to win a lot of games this season but the bullpen pitchers blew way too many leads. A new Manager, pitching coach, 5 decent starters, 4-5 bullpen arms, and a legit Closer could bring the team closer to contention. Bummer should not throw another pitch for the White Sox. Let that game against the Cubs be his last.

TA had a decent game defensively including a few key double plays. He probably won't be back next season, but he isn't responsible for the Sox bullpen melting down tonight and in so many other games this season.

White Sox fans want to see accountability for this debacle now. No reason to wait for the end of the season. Hire some interim people to start moving in a new direction. Hahn, Grifol and Katz have no right to have jobs with the White Sox.

Bummer should not be on the WSox next season and no, Santos is not a Closer.

No excuse for Grifol and Katz for allowing what happened. A HR to Madrigal on 0-2 ? Bummer is worthless. Then Santos grooving Bellinger, walking the tying run, and throwing a meatball center cut pitch to Hoerner in the 9th? Grifol sat on his ass and watched this happen.

Several big moments... Robert's HR, Grandal's throw to Remillard, Andrus steal, Remillard's bunt and steal, and great clutch pitching.

8/13 White Sox vs Brewers, 1:10 PM CT
Minor nit picking there because Ditka was allowed to leave as was Hull....and Mike played for the Cowboys . Neither guy should have been allowed to leave Chicago, and that was my point.

The Jake Burger trade makes my blood boil. When will sports owners and GMs understand that you do not trade popular players unless the return is ridiculous. Precedent for that in Chicago is long and storied from Wirtz Sr. trading Bobby Hull to George Halas letting Mike Ditka go to play for the Cowboys ....and there are more examples including the heresy of the Cubs trading Ron Santo to the White Sox. Stupid sh1t. Obviously Burger will likely not reach the status of any of those players but in a season where everything sucks, he was a bright light that gave hope and energy to a sh1tty line-up. I don't feel like going to any more games this season and I don't know or care to find out the name of the guy that Hahn got back in return from Miami. Thanks Hahn.

Burger To Marlins
Hahn could have had Cody Bellinger for next to nothing compared to his deal for Benintendi. The fool then trades away Burger, one of the most popular players on the team, a guy who brought joy to the clubhouse and to fans. His long right handed swings would have yielded many more HR and wins for the Sox. Hahn is a damn fool. Why is he still the GM? Fire him and let KW take over as interim GM until a new GM is hired. Serve up some accountability.

Some of the guys who failed miserably have already been dealt, and there will be a lot more changes. I don't see how JR (and KW if he does not retire) allow Hahn, Katz and Grifol to be brought back. Wayy too many bad decisions and a lot of inaction at critical times in the season. Meanwhile, Bummer still issuing lead-off walks in late innings and then allowing that guy to steal second ? Bummer is only pitching now to prove he might have some trade value and that is not looking good. He can't throw strikes to a lead-off hitter late in a game so what the hell good is he as a leverage bullpen arm?

Bummer and other Sox relievers have been walking the lead-off man in late innings all year. and then allowing stolen bases. Terrible coaching by Ethan Katz.and Grifo. Giving up game after game.

Eloy not taking any nonsense with the delayed tag at second on a force out.

Betts calls out White Sox for not defending Tim Anderson after KO punch, D Backs have team meeting about protocols for similar situations
I like what Elvis Andrus and Michael Kopech said about this. They stand by TA. Ramirez later stated that TA is "disrespectful of the game" (???) and somehow deserved his sucker punch. He wanted the fight even before he got tagged out by TA.

Of course not everyone is a racist but you cannot deny how remnants of it remain in baseball decades after Jackie Robinson, even among players like Josh Donaldson and announcers like Hamilton. As far as who instigated the fight that is arguable. Do you defend Ramirez for his post game comments that TA has been disrespecting baseball for a long time ? That was basically an admission that he was holding a grudge against Anderson. And do you think that Hamilton announcing "Down goes Anderson, down goes Anderson" was appropriate? This stuff is part of baseball...it is unfortunate but it still exists. TA should have been the bigger man , walked away, but it would have been nice if Ramirez got taken down by Vaughn and others before the fight ensued.

The perception of TA is what I was referring to. The denial that racist views are part of the reactions to TA impress me about as much as Josh Donaldson calling TA "Jackie" and then denying he is a racist. Down goes Anderson, down goes Anderson... then getting dragged off by Vaughn. That was just too perfect of a scenario for some people, but go ahead and enjoy. Yea, he deserved it and that trumps team loyalty and even results in TA getting twice the penalty that the instigator received, even though he brushed back an umpire. As far as minority vs minority, some here may recall how a lot of people hated Ali (referencing "down goes Anderson" by Cosell even though it was Joe Frazier...) and wanted him to get beaten, even when he fought other African Americans like Frazier. There was just something about him they didn't like, and sure, OK, it had nothing to do with race. Give me a break.

There is a lot of bias toward TA. There can be no doubt that some of it is due to the fact that he is an African American player...a group that did not have one player in the MLB until Jackie Robinson came up with the Dodgers. That group is still under-represented in the league. It is interesting to note how some perceived this fight from who they think started it to how they characterize AV for dragging TA off.

Other than in NHL games, I have seldom seen teams in any sport back off and let two players go mono y mono. In this fight even the umpire allowed Ramirez to clear him out with one hand and that move did not result in any additional suspension. Forget this fight for a second, and ask yourself if MLB should allow itself to go down the same rabbit hole as the NHL with fighting and for that matter, what should be the policy of teams when a player gets into a fight? Let him alone or have his back and defend him ?

I agree with Mookie. Vaughn and the White Sox acted like it was entirely Tim's fault and dragged him off the field. It was a pitiful show of weakness by a team already being accused of internal dysfunction, a lack of leadership and cohesiveness in the clubhouse.
