Won't. Kopech pitched a meaningless inning yesterday which TLR said before the game if he pitched he would not start the DH. Bonehead move by TLR pitching him when you have all those bullpen guys on 2 weeks rest and a 4 run lead, why even pay them if none (on 2 weeks rest) can give you 1 inning

Other way around. Beating your division is the most important thing. Especially since they are a bad division. If you have the lead against Houston with an entirely full strength bullpen there is absolutely no need to pitch Kopech unless you are truly saying every pitcher in that bullpen should be cut bc otherwise what are you paying them to do.

The sox have no one, and I mean no one in their farm they can trade for Escobar outside of Sheets or Burger. No one wants Lambert No one wants Reynaldo You see what Joc went for (Escobar will be similar), sox have nothing close to that to offer.

You guys are pretty delusional if you think the Sox can get a 2B without trading Sheets and Burger. So we would be wayyyyyy overpaying for a rental and losing 2 studs. They aren't doing that. Burger needs to be in the lineup everyday and so does Sheets. They are better hitters than Leury Goodwin Engel Hamilton Mendick Collins Zavala

Better than Leury playing at all. So actually you can. Its working now, meaning it can work during the playoffs. The game don't change just bc you see the words "playoffs" We have the back half of the season to see what Burger can do at 2B. And I can guarantee you it won't be any worse than the horrific play from Leury these last 2 games.

Kopech, if allowed to start, would immediately be a top 15 SP in baseball (if not higher). As for Moncada, he really needs a good IL stint and we roll with Burger who is honestly better with the bat right now than Moncada. I personally feel Moncada is dealing with long covid and injuries. Maybe the all-star break was enough but we have Burger ready to mash the baseball so we should really utilize him and get Moncada healthy for the end of the season/playoff run

Sox aren't trading for a 2b. Only Mercedes will be available from those 4. They need another pen arm.

Actually come to think of it. Burger should play 3B all series and just let Moncada heal and come back after the break healthy

Sheets needs to be in RF and Burger at DH and that middle of the order is ?. Sheets, Vaughn and Burger needs to be the middle not Goodwin, Engel, Garcia

What they should do is skip him in the rotation a few times here and there and put in Kopech to build him back up.
