Getz interview...
It’s obvious from this that Getz is completely full of $hit and it’s obvious that the hosts know it. They weren’t really buying his corporate BS. He’s in completely over his head, like a few of my co workers. I don’t know that he knows he’s over his head. I think he thinks his snake oil BS placated the hosts and the fans. He’s an imbecile.

Stone not sure he will be back in 25, season "wearing on him"
In all seriousness it is validated that Reinsdorf is still with it? I help out a guy who has lost his mind and he is ten years younger than Reinsdorf. Does Reinsdorf know he owns the team? Does he know they have a poor record?

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
But wasn’t Cease a legit ace? Getz’s recent history of trading legit ace’s isn’t so great.

Signings worse than Benintendi in the last 5 years
Remember Jaime Navarro was so much better than washed up Roger Clemens.

Signings worse than Benintendi in the last 5 years
At least Dunn was an all star with the Sox for one season. That thought has never entered anyone’s mind regarding Benitendi.

Those are incredibly bad, lol.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
Would Getz get more for Crochet than the underwhelming return he got for Cease? I doubt it would change anything.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
Both. He is cheap and signing guys to expensive four year deals is not the same as intelligent ten year deals to stars. Reinsdorf’s version gets him off the hook in a couple years. That’s very temporary spending. Also based on things we’ve read and surveys done guys do not want to come here, I think that’s pretty obvious. I don’t think a change in ownership does much to change that… What star wants to come to Chicago’s forgotten team? Stars want to be seen. The damage Reinsdorf has done the last ten years can’t be undone, IMHO.

White Sox Looking to Bring in a Hitting Equivalent of Bannister?
I’ll assume no and adjust later if evidence proves me wrong.

White Sox Looking to Bring in a Hitting Equivalent of Bannister?
Is Sizemore a feather in his cap?

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
Also spending for a couple years when contracts come off the books shortly is a lot different than signing the Harper’s of the world to ten year contracts. The former is not a credible business model in the business of baseball.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
I mean if you want to overpay bums I suppose you can get high paid players. I don’t think you can get credible players to sign here.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
At the time Wheeler turned them down it looked like their farm system produced some players. I don’t think credible free agents want to play for Chicago’s forgotten team, even in better years. They certainly don’t want to sign ten year contracts with them.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
That fan blackmail never really worked in the past. I don't think there are enough of them at this point to move the needle.

The Sox aren't spending "right now"
I doubt much will change where the high dollar guys would want to come in three years. We have the recent example (Wheeler?) of a guy turning down more Sox money to go elsewhere. It's got to be much worse now.

I thought this was a thread from a different year and then lo and behold they just updated the presser.

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
What did he do to you?

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
I don't think credible coaches were ever an option.

Pedro Grifol, Charlie Montoyo, Eddie Rodriguez, & Mike Tosar Fired (Grady Sizemore interim manager)
He should have had to sleep in the bed that he defecated in for the rest of the season.

An equal combination of A, B, and C.

What does this team look like in an alternate timeline?
Not much different happens with Hinch. Go back a few years earlier to an alternate timeline when the White Sox act like a professional organization and are wise enough to sign Bryce Harper when the biggest spenders could not. Imagine this organization with a player who sells jerseys and basically pays for his own contract with jersey sales.

Biggest Single Season Turnarounds
“Likely” is an overstatement.

Biggest Single Season Turnarounds
It certainly seems that way. If I were a betting man that’s what I’d bet. They will probably win enough games to pick seventh or eighth in the 2025 season. Then, when they can’t pick in the top ten, they’ll lose 110.

Biggest Single Season Turnarounds
That’s what this year should have been.

Biggest Single Season Turnarounds
Getz has demonstrated no ability to pick up good prospects in trades. Hes been fleeced in every trade.
