  1. 100% I knew this would happen with Sizemore (not that I’m alone of course). You can see the fans shifting from “That will never happen” to “Here’s why it is good if it happens”.
  2. I would feel bad for him if he didn’t talk so much s%*# when he came in last year.
  3. I tend to believe being above or below your Pythagorean percent is generally (not completely) random. Just like the W/L% in extra inning games is pretty random.
  4. Yeah I think 40 would be the floor even if brought in the AAA team.
  5. That’s just word salad, not at all answering the question in any shape matter or form.
  6. It’s highly likely next year will be as bad. I’d say worse but that’s near impossible. A couple of their better hitters will be gone. Maybe one of their better pitchers.
  7. Haven’t they done that and canceled the last few years
  8. I’m so sick of “he wants to win, but his way”. I want to win the UFC Title my way, which involves not getting hit and not working particularly hard. Both desires are not feasible. So screw Reinsdorf and his supposed desire to win and also his apologists that peddle this nonsense.
  9. When was the last SoxFest? Did they have one last year?
  10. The only reason for hope is Reinsdorf’s age. There is no positive at all surrounding Getz.
  11. Sorry, Getz isn’t leading anything out of any wilderness. He’s a bumbling idiot.
  12. Ahhh, I didn't know there was a tie there. I assumed two rainouts.
  13. I think there’s still room for argument if they win as many as the Mets. Most likely the Mets would have lost two more but no guarantee. 39-123 removes all doubts.
  14. This is going to happen. Especially after winning two in Oakland and almost two at California, you can almost hear them saying “Grady has them ready to play and grind it out each and every day.”
  15. 39-123 removes all debate when comparing with the Mets. That’s the record I’m hoping for. Anything after that is icing on the tombstone.
  16. California tried to help them out today.
  17. I think they finish with 39 wins. There are three more somewhere.
  18. Take the last three games against the other two AL bottom feeders and his OPS is .643 for September. Let’s not declare things fixed because of a couple decent games against teams 13 and 14 in the league.
  19. The Angels pitcher last night has a 6.05 ERA. The A’s pitchers starters were 4.94 and 4.24. There is the source of your hitting success the last couple games.
  20. They are playing the other two worst teams in the American League. They didn’t figure something out, they are playing bad teams. Things will return to normal when they play San Diego and Detroit.
  21. They are going to f*** this up for sure. Hopefully San Diego and Detroit take care of business.
  22. I’m pulling for 5-8, leave no debate about the 1961 Mets.
  23. They are really playing above themselves in September.
  24. Also they expanded the playoffs that one-off year. They don’t get in without expanded playoffs.
