  1. 80% voted 7 or higher. 40% 9 or higher. Most of the board had the Sox winning the Central this year. So it doesn’t surprise me when I read the Giolito thread and see “What a great haul we got!” I remain pessimistic.
  2. 21 but who's counting.
  3. At this point I’m kind of hoping Hahn keeps his job. He doesn’t deserve to be relieved of this humiliation. And resignation would be way too easy
  4. They've certainly been easier to hate.
  5. Shouldn't a prerequisite for being a superstar be ... making an All Star game, once?
  6. They really don't have anybody who will bring in a haul. Possibly Roberts but he's so injury prone I doubt a team would give up the farm for him.
  7. 90% of the league is ahead of them in the standings. Edit: sorry you were talking about the Cubs.
  8. 0% chance of a wild card happening. 100 losses is a possibility, even with beating the Cubs.
  9. I’ve been rooting against this loser organization for a while now but I can never root for the Cubs. Hopefully the series is rained out.
  10. I don’t believe lots of GMs know better than fans who follow very closely. They may know more about contracts and injuries. This is certainly true for the Sox.
  11. Also if the new GM is Getz there’s a good chance he’s worse than the old GM.
  12. Compared to other teams and specifically division rivals they have been quite healthy.
  13. Burger who is second on the team in home runs.
  14. Yeah you’re right. I guess I’ve been blinded by Giolito being just ok and Lynn having a decent start here and there. I figured Cease was a one year wonder and I always knew Kopech was a guy who just wanted to throw 115 mph and didn’t really care about pitching. And I always root against Clevinger.
  15. I thought it would be close to this level of bad but I thought it would be because Giolito and Cease and another starter would break down but the hitting would be fine. I was completely wrong about that. The pitching has been ok and the hitting has been just awful. The entire year.
  16. They would need to go 29-32. Seems unattainable.
  17. Kind of seems that you and Parkman were realistic and completely objective and there were a bunch of people being rude for the sake of being rude.
  18. I’m still convinced he doesn’t get fired. Maybe he resigns in humiliating fashion. I’m going to stick with I think he’s here next year.
  19. Actually, the one thing they might have going for them is there might be a couple guys who give a crap so there might be better team chemistry. As long as Anderson is gone. Otherwise forget it.
  20. They are fun bad. You know they will lose most games and it’s just a matter of how.
  21. There were people around here that would rip your head off for saying that a couple years ago. One was a woman and another who posted a lot who has now not posted in a long time. They were very rude in their insistence that this was incorrect. Wonder if they still believe this.
  22. I truly believe, from the bottom of my heart, that these guys got their money and don’t really care one bit. As long as they get to live in a nice house and don’t have to live near any fans they really don’t care. I really believe that. I think they are too stupid to be forward thinking and try, even out of sheer greed for the next contract. I think they can’t see past tomorrow. I have never seen a collection of people so bad at their job, and caring so little, this side of the DMV.
