  1. I would punish him for not being able to stay on the field by making him stay here and play for this nowhere organization for the rest of his contract. Why reward him by sending him somewhere else?
  2. League average for DH is .763. He's at .779.
  3. This. What Chicagoland kid in his right mind would even have the Sox on his radar screen when you know the Ricketts will probably buy another division or more at some point soon? The Sox are the Chicago Blitz. An afterthought.
  4. I'm with you. I started a while ago, probably around when the Astros exposed them in 2021.
  5. Is it possible for a team that is 18 games under .500 to have a big game?
  6. This did not hold up well.
  7. It’s really hard to see that actually in writing. This stupid idiot, who is in so far over his head he can touch the bottom of the ocean, has the third flipping longest tenure in all of baseball. You could not make this up.
  8. There was someone else on the thread who compared him to Thomas. Jimenez is certainly part of the problem if they were counting on him to be an All Star or close to it and he can’t stay on the field. His high is 122(!) games played in 2019. He hasn’t sniffed 100 since. He’s played in 64% of the games this year and if he misses that pace he misses 100 games this year. He definitely is part of the problem. Not that you trade him but you don’t absolve him of responsibility. If he doesn’t contribute he’s part of the problem.
  9. I worked a trade so he’d be on the Sox in one of my APBA seasons
  10. There’s not hate for Jimenez. He seems likable enough. Can hit the ball far in the rare times he’s not injured. He is certainly part of the problem. This board had him a perpetual All Star when they acquired him. Now six years later he’s hurt all the time. Likable guy but not really helping and part of the reason the rebuild did not succeed.
  11. Jimenez is barely even Dayan Viciedo let alone Frank Thomas.
  12. When did he become a fan favorite?
  13. Lynn and Giolito falling apart just before the deadline makes perfect sense.
  14. Isn’t that nearly impossible? I would love to know if that is the lowest. I haven’t been able to find anything.
  15. Not just possible … I would take it to the bank. No way they play over .500 the next 65 games.
  16. Atlanta out scores them in the series. I wouldn’t call that “dominating”.
  17. That's .462. They have played .412 so far this season. Even without the 10 game losing streak they are at .460 for the season.
  18. This seems about right three months later.
  19. This is basically guaranteed at this point isn't it? Just need to go 32-33 to lose 90. I don't think they can play that well, especially after the trade deadline. Would need to play .631 to get to .500. Impossible.
  20. Who's crying? Just asked a simple question about a basic feature that used to exist and now is inexplicably disabled for some users. If you don't have an answer you don't have an answer. Sorry to ask the question. Moving on.
  21. Cubs seem to know how to do it right. Sox committing suicide in Chicago.
  22. Well I had you on ignore but now the features won’t let me. Any way to bring back that feature?
  23. Well usually when one quotes someone else and rants and raves they are usually lumping them in with their targets. So it’s not a stretch.
