Blow it the F Up
I’ve been thinking about your first sentence …. If they did win the division would most get joy out of it? For myself I’ve already moved on from this team and would not get enjoyment. I’m still coasting on the fumes on my 40 years of being a fan but I don’t get current enjoyment out of them. Even if there was a good run out of them and they snuck in (which by the way, I can’t ever remember a Sox team coming from behind to snatch success at the end of a season) I really don’t think I would blink an eye. Maybe I’m wrong and I could get caught up in it but I think I root for the Rays more at this point.

Blow it the F Up
They have one, maybe two if you count Burger, hitters. The pitching is fine for now. Although it will blow up soon I think. As someone else pointed out you can’t have Cease/Kopech go five innings every game and not have it wear out your bullpen. I remember a couple weeks ago Kopech throwing 100 pitches in four innings. He should have flipped off the bullpen before he left the mound.

Blow it the F Up
Of course as already pointed out this thread is a rebuild thread not a sell the team thread so the guy posted it in the wrong thread.

This is one of the guys who always said those who were questioning Hahn were Cubs fans. I’ve got him on block. He clearly know nothing. Obviously struggles with reading too.

TA to bench. Remilliard in and batting 2 nd. No brainer.
He was still a narcissist jerk while he was playing better.

2023 AL Central Predictions
- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
Cough- Sox are awful too - cough- Blow it the F Up
If they give the job to Getz you might as well get ready for more of the same. He was supposed to revamp the minor leagues based on his one year in KC when they won while he was getting coffee for the higher ups. His minor leagues stink. He’s completely unqualified based on his resume. I suppose he’s a lock to be Hahn’s replacement.- Blow it the F Up
Many long time fans and a generation of kids for whom the White Sox are not even on their radar screen.- GQ: Tim Anderson Is Tired of Being the Most Misunderstood Man in Baseball
POTY- GQ: Tim Anderson Is Tired of Being the Most Misunderstood Man in Baseball
My thoughts. He’s basically a non entity outside of the south side of Chicago. He’s probably the third best shortstop in Chicago.- This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
I don’t think he said zero chance. Of course mathematically, by dumb luck you would have expected the White Sox to have appeared in three World Series in the 42 years Reinsdorf has owned the team. So his failure to do this May in fact imply a zero percent chance of winning from here on out. KC has been in three and won two. Cleveland has been in three. Minnesota has been in two and won two. Detroit has been in three and won once. From the old AL West Oakland has been in three and won one. Texas has been in two. The Angels have only appeared in and won one like the Sox. Only Seattle from that division has not been in the World Series. So given Reinsdorf’s epic level of fail, I probably would agree there is zero chance as long as he remains owner, even though the OP did give them a non-zero chance.- Notice how Merkin and Hahn are trying to make trade deadline just as much about Grifol job security
This is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Nobody likes the guy. It’s obvious. Can’t blame the rest of the team. He a narcissistic a—hole. I remember when Sammy Sosa left the Cubs stadium early at the end of his last season there. It was obvious the rest of the team hated him and when he left early Kerry Wood took a bat and smashed that radio that Sosa loved so much. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened here.- Notice how Merkin and Hahn are trying to make trade deadline just as much about Grifol job security
And you would think that after forty flipping years of continuous ownership that the organization would be running like a well oiled machine and there would be a unifying set of principles. Instead they run around like nobody has ever done this before. You would think the front office had yearly turnover the way it is run.- This team is going to lose 90 plus games...
I think they are far more likely to lose 90 than finish .500- White Sox’ trade-deadline decisions will depend on ability to compete in playoffs, not just for AL Central crown
I wouldn’t consider one season a success story. More an outlier, while other teams were retooling.- White Sox’ trade-deadline decisions will depend on ability to compete in playoffs, not just for AL Central crown
That was only due to trading away a couple All Stars. Not due to good scouting and drafting. And it turns out those rankings were crap. That “top” farm system turned into a fourth place team in the worst division in baseball history.- Ohtani
We’ve seen before that players will take less to go elsewhere.- White Sox’ trade-deadline decisions will depend on ability to compete in playoffs, not just for AL Central crown
Yeah but I would say 2022 is more analogous to the 1985 team that had a respectable season and then headed into a disastrous four year stretch.- Ohtani
Why would Ohtani sign with the Sox? - Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
