Absolutely I'd do this. Paddack would be a strong 5 with serious upside. Paddack would allow you to dump Keuchel.

I mean.. At THIS point Cease is the easy answer because he's more proven.. But I also think Kopech could become our best pitcher by next year, and Vaughn could become one of our better battters. But who knows, both could flop. Ask me again next year!

Do you think we will have 4 of our starters all out for a large chunk at the exact same time again (Robert, Eloy, Madrigal and Grandal)? That would be hard to do.

I'd vote 2 behind the Dodgers. The Braves last year were a fluke. Mets made a lot of great moves but have more holes than us and Lindor could be an issue. Yankees have bad pitching, astros lost correa, Greinke, and some relievers. Blue Jays have a few offensive holes, like us, but a far worse bullpen. Rays are the rays, I never like their roster but they keep winning. Red Sox were a fluke. Padres roster I like but they have some major financial issues, and Tatis injury issues. Who am i missing?

I would only do it for April to see what happens. I mean, this division will not realistically be close at all, so we have some play room. If it doesn't work and he loses us 2-games, who cares?

Kimbrel for David Price and Bellinger. Kind of solves everyones issues doesn't it? Sox take on Price' horrendous contract (adds a 5th starter/swing for us), and get a lefty RF. This would take us to the CBA limit though I imagine, but everything would be solved. Maybe we get a little cash?

my though is if we get nothing back apart from salary relief, I'd rather keep him and honestly try him out at closer, move Hendriks to the 8th (since he said he'd welcome it) and see what happens for a month.
