October 5, 20169 yr Bautista will goad Odor into a suspension. Bet the house on it folks! hyukhyukhyuk
October 5, 20169 yr If we're ever in that situation, I hope Rick Renteria watched this and took notes HA!
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 04:39 AM) If you are set on saving Britton, why not use Dylan Bundy instead of Ubaldo? Overall massive fail by Buck. Unless Britton got hurt in warmups Buck said he's fine
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 04:55 AM) That's a fireable offense by Buck. I'm sorry. I'd fire his ass. Yep
October 5, 20169 yr lol the guy who a lot of people say should win the Cy Young doesn't even pitch in his team's most important game of the year. I get what Showalter was going for, but you absolutely cannot let Ubaldo face Encarnacion with the winning run on third. Britton's got one of the best sinkers in baseball. Use him there to try and induce a double play ball at least.
October 5, 20169 yr For all of Robin's poor managerial decisions during his time with the Sox... This one is worse than all of them.
October 5, 20169 yr All of the damn Odor signs in the crowd made this feel like I was back in 8th grade watching WWF. Glad Showalter did what he did, because Rangers/Jays is hella the more appealing of the two matchups.
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) If we're ever in that situation, I hope Rick Renteria watched this and took notes HA! What would we be without wishful thinking.
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 10:55 PM) That's a fireable offense by Buck. I'm sorry. I'd fire his ass. Completely agree.
October 5, 20169 yr Buck will forever be the guy that will get you to the door, but will never be able to walk you through it
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 05:42 AM) Buck will forever be the guy that will get you to the door, but will never be able to walk you through it I'd take him with the Sox. He clearly knows how to build a team.
October 5, 20169 yr I'd hate to be cheering for one of the teams in one of these wild card games, but man are these fun.
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:46 AM) I'd hate to be cheering for one of the teams in one of these wild card games, but man are these fun. The blackout game was one of the most gut wrenching games I have ever watched, i assume a wildcard game would give me the same feeling
October 5, 20169 yr Brisbee killin' it. http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2016/10/5/1317...-buck-showalter When we do an oral history of the history of the closer, though, save a paragraph or four for the 2016 American League Wild Card. Using Ubaldo Jimenez instead of Zach Britton might not have started the revolution. But it was a decision so bad, it at least started the discussion that will lead to the revolution.
October 5, 20169 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 10:56 PM) Yep He seemed to outperform his roster the last two years.
October 5, 20169 yr So we have Bumgarner vs. Syndergaard coming up at 7pm CST. Wild card, do or die. The stronger team is clearly the Giants. In a one game playoff anything can happen, especially with Noah Syndergaard on the mound for the Mets at home. I'm kind of rooting for the Giants as they have the whole even year world series thing going on, it would make for an interesting story vs the cubs. I don't think the mets have any chance vs the cubs. Let's just hope that no fan throws something at an outfielder trying to catch the ball this wild card game.
October 6, 20169 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 06:02 PM) Mlb replay everyone That s*** was almost impossible to call.
October 6, 20169 yr QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Oct 5, 2016 -> 08:58 PM) What an amazing catch by Curtis Granderson! Pretty sure he just concussed himself. That's playoff baseball though.
