Chances he gets moved?

I thought for sure he was gone. $3.5 million isn't bad.

WELL THEN

Not a bad price either. what DA Said.

WE'RE ALL IN!!!! But really, this deal isn't bad at all.

We root for a funny team.

He took a $625,000 cut.

This is starting to feel like we're buyers and not sellers.

Cost certainty for upcoming trade

3.5 million great number.

What is there left to buy?

Lawrie wouldn't get you much on the trade market. You aren't paying him a ton. Rebuilding teams get guys like this, hope he has a big year and flip him at the deadline.

They are putting the band back together.

The band of suck

Thats a steal actually. Hope he stays. I've been a big Lawrie fan since before he came to the South Side.

I think this is a solid move. Brett plays with intensity and leaves it all in the field. Saladino is our super sub and probably see Sanchez as IF backup in '17

Can you elaborate as to what you mean by this post?

I'm happy he's back, but bring both Avi and Lawrie makes me nervous the Sox aren't going to sell...

Although, with Smith gone the 40-Man is now at 38. That's 3 openings for new players if a trade is made.

This is worse than re-signing Avi.

Does Rick Hahn actually think Lawrie's a good player?

There's really not much to b**** about here unless you're looking for something to b**** about here.

Lol, clueless comment.

Glad for this. Need some MLB players and he's cheap.

What's new honestly with him? Lawrie is good depth in case Frazier does get traded or he could even be packaged in a bigger deal. 3.5 million is extremely team friendly.

Nice! Save some money from what was projected.

It's a position in which the Sox have depth that can at least replicate Lawrie.

$3 million here, $4 million there.

it adds up. And the Sox have squandered a lot with such signings of bad players.
