Apparently, Melania didn't wear a head scarf either...Trump complained about Michelle Obama disrespecting Saudia Arabia for doing the same in 2015

In Riyadh, Saudis were preparing to welcome Trump in grand fashion. A five story image of Trump's face was projected on the exterior of the hotel he'll stay in when he arrives, and large billboards of Trump and King Salman lined the highway from the airport. Trump remains popular in the Gulf, where leaders hope he'll take a harder line on Iran than his predecessor Barack Obama. During meetings this weekend, Trump will work to develop relationships with the leaders, with whom the US hopes to partner on fighting extremism.

He's also expected to announce a series of new agreements with the kingdom, including a $100 million arms deal that was brokered primarily by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The agreement will provide tanks, ships, and missile defense systems to the kingdom in an attempt to bolster its regional military prowess.

[/b]Saudi diplomats reportedly wooed the President into visiting their country via a persuasive, picture-laden PowerPoint presentation. Caterers for state events have been instructed to prepare Mr Trump’s favourite meal – steak and ketchup – to serve alongside local delicacies.

Delegates to the Nato summit have been cautioned by their Washington consultants to “keep it short” and use plenty of visual aids in talks with the President. Also important is stroking the President’s ego; complimenting him on his electoral college win and contrasting him favourably with former President Obama.[/b]

(CNN)A former Trump campaign aide is requesting that President Donald Trump set up a legal fund to help associates ensnared in the federal probe into Trump campaign contacts with Russia.

The ex-staff member, who told CNN he is racking up legal fees after hiring an attorney in order to respond to questions from federal investigators, also said he was never paid for his work for the campaign. He requested anonymity to speak candidly.

"In many ways, the Trump associates are the real victims here," the ex-staffer said.

"The world (is) going after them and Trump (is) leaving them abandoned on the battlefield," he added. "Yet many lives will be ruined in the process."

The White House declined to comment on whether administration officials have issued legal guidance to White House employees.

Other former campaign officials said it was difficult to estimate how many staff members have been in contact with federal investigators.

"My heart aches," one former campaign official said of ex-staffers who might be caught up in the Russia investigation.

LOL who's going to feel sorry for them? This is Trump's M.O. Shame on them for thinking he'd change once elected.

This one is kind of dumb. If you need an attorney to testify, isn't this world dog eat dog? You pay for your own attorney? If Trump paid for attorney fees wouldn't that be a sign of collusion? This Russia story has its 20 minutes of fame but isn't gonna bring down Trump. If federal investigators want to talk to you, why do you need an attorney? Just tell the truth. If you do need an attorney, this is the real world. You pay for one unfortunately.

The first thing since he became President that I can wholeheartedly agree with...well, except for the part about letting all human rights and treatment of women issues slide to the backburner.

Wonder how much of this Miller wrote...vs. Mattis/McMaster/Tillerson/Kushner/Cohn...and what were the particular phrases Trump fought to include.

From the snippets available, it's actually a pretty fascinating approach for Trump stylistically. Granted, the whipsaw effect from campaign rhetoric to these words is extremely jarring. Sounds like an Obama speech, actually.

Will his followers not call him out for being hypocritical...? Who knows?

Trump just called Islam one of the worlds great faiths. There are a bunch of trump voters that just screamed at the tv

I can hear Millers idealogy in the speech when Trump said "drive them out" multiple times in a row

Say what you want about Trump the chump and how the country despises him. It still was unique for SNL to open with "Alleluia" song ostensibly meaning thank God that Trump has allegorically hung himself and will be gone by the start of next season's SNL shows.

I'm all for comedy but think that one was kind of a stretch. I still don't think Trump is going to get impeached over the Russia thing. We shall see I guess.

SNL sneaking in David S. Pumpkins in a skit was pretty classic. Overall the show was not that funny again, though. My point is I thought the Alleluia thing was a bit disrespectful at this point. I could be wrong. Maybe this week is the week the Russia thing hangs Trump.

Ivanna and Melania fascinate the Saudi press/public, women swoon over Secret Service agent, cute guy in the red tie

https://www.yahoo.com/style/apparently-real...-191841888.html

While visiting the U.S. ally, Ivanka Trump has met with Saudi women for a roundtable discussion concerning women’s rights. At the meeting she stated, “Saudi Arabia’s progress, especially in recent years, is very encouraging, but there’s still a lot of work to be done and freedoms and opportunities to continue to fight for.” She also brokered a $100 million donation from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to a billion-dollar global fund dedicated to women’s economic empowerment.

I just spent 6 months on a job assignment in Saudi Arabia and relayed to my friends and family how popular Trump was in the Islamic world abroad . Many didn't believe me . This proves what I had been saying . Many Saudis love Trumps strength , which they hold as a great virtue . They despised Obama as a globalist puppet and his weakness and were not swayed in the least of all the media glorification of him . The Saudi King himself came to greet Trump , whereas he sent a lowly governor to meet Obama .

I am proud to be an American again with such a strong and respected leader in Trump . The only people missing out are the American propaganda media and their weak followers who do not think for themselves .

MAGA ! We are back America !

So I was driving today and Hannity was on radio, I guess from Friday. All I read on here is Trump is a chump, doomsday impeachment scenarios etc.

Hannity as of Friday said the NY Times and Wash. Post were embarrassing themselves with stories off unnamed sources that have been proven incorrect and Trump did nothing wrong involving the Russkies.

I am not making this stuff up, folks. He said this witch hunt is bad for America and Trump will again be exonerated and the Post and Times will be in trouble with their readers if this continues because of what he said is inaccurate reporting.

Just relaying what I heard with my two ears.

Stop relaying. No one wants to hear what Sean Hannity thinks.

Stop it.

I think you guys jumped the gun in your joy of maybe getting rid of Trump this soon. His little meeting with Russia apparently isn't amounting to much of anything. When he gets impeached it'll be a doozy, not this thing. You may be upset with me for posting the other side's opinion, but it is very important nonetheless. But if I'm facing a ban, I won't post hannity any more.

This isn't about Trump. It's about Sean Hannity being an absolute piece of s***.

Stop posting his nonsense.

You guys really despise me don't u? The tone is always so gruff.

Greg, as soon as Mueller concludes his report, that's when you can breathe a sigh of relief.

And not until then. Even if Trump survives this (and it's 50/50 right now), his presidency and Pence will be so weakened that they would have been better off rebooting.

And Sean Hannity's job is to have the exact effect on his "followers" that he's having...making them believe there's absolutely nothing wrong with Trump and everything wrong with the "liberal" media, which never used to include CNN or the Washington Post before this particular election cycle.

Think of it the other way around...for 8 years, all you heard on Fox News was how terrible Obama was, right? Why would they have ANY reason to be fair/impartial/unbiased on the subject of Donald Trump? Their viewers wouldn't tolerate a "fair and balanced" show.

In the meantime, Newt Gingrich is STILL pushing the "Seth Rich was murdered by the Dems" storyline to push back against Trump stories despite it being completely debunked/retracted/corrected last week by the local Fox affiliate...and despite his parents practically begging the GOP to stop tarnishing the memory of their kid.

The fact that we continue to supply arguably the most oppressive government in the world with billions of dollars in weapons is pretty disgusting. What Saudi Arabia is doing in Yemen is going toward would could turn into genocide and we are playing a big part in it.

I don't want to ever hear some dumb politician talk about how evil Iran is while we buddy up with Saudi Arabia.

On March 11, 2002, a fire at a girls' school in Mecca, Saudi Arabia killed fifteen people, all young girls. The event was especially notable due to complaints that Saudi Arabia's "religious police" (aka the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice) stopped schoolgirls from leaving the burning building and hindered rescue workers because the girls were not wearing correct Islamic dress, and possibly for not being escorted by a male.[1] As Hanny Megally, Executive Director of the Middle East and North Africa division of Human Rights Watch put it, "Women and girls may have died unnecessarily because of extreme interpretations of the Islamic dress code. State authorities with direct and indirect responsibility for this tragedy must be held accountable."[2]

According to at least two reports, members of the CPVPV, also known as Mutaween, would not allow the girls to escape or to be saved from the fire because they were "not properly covered", and the mutaween did not want physical contact to take place between the girls and the civil defense forces for fear of sexual enticement, and variously that the girls were locked in by the police, or forced back into the building.[2][6] Civil Defense stated that the fire had extinguished itself before they arrived on the scene. CPVPV officers did appear to object to Civil Defense workers going into the building—Human Rights Watch quoted a Civil Defense officer as saying,

"Whenever the girls got out through the main gate, these people forced them to return via another. Instead of extending a helping hand for the rescue work, they were using their hands to beat us."

The CPVPV denied the charges of beating or locking the gates but the incident and the accounts of witnesses were reported in Saudi newspapers such as the Saudi Gazette and Al-Iqtisaddiyya. The result was a very rare public criticism of the group.[6]

Its pretty hilarious that given some money he can turn a blind eye to everything he hated prior to becoming president.

Also really interesting that The Secretary of State thinks Judaism was founded in Tel Aviv
