It's funny because the MLB draft is a bigger crapshoot than any of the 4 major sports yet last year everyone was elated for Collins, and he sort of sucks right now. No one knows for sure

#25 prospect in all of baseball. Maybe it's better to have a prospect everyone's skeptical of from the very beginning, rather than the opposite?

Where does Burger slot in terms of our top ten prospects? 6th-10th range maybe?

 

The top 3 are obvious (Moncada, Kopech, Robert). After that, you can throw Collins, Giolito, Lopez, Burger, Hansen in any order. Wow.. I've been a part of this board, FutureSox, etc for a long time and I've never been as excited about our system as I am now.

I know there are mixed views on posters here who are pro and con Bukauskas, but I can't believe he hasn't been picked yet. Almost steal range now.

 

Horrific mechanics. Does pretty much everything you don't want a young pitcher to do. I'll be surprised if he doesn't have an arm injury within 3-4 years.

I was hoping for White but I'm fine with the Burger pick and the Millar comp. Should be interesting to see what he ends up signing for.

Our farm needed a power bat and burger should provide solid pop. We might look back and be very happy with this selection in a few years.

He actually reminded me of Tatis Sr. the first time I watched him physically. Or Gary Gaetti.

 

Hopefully the strength and conditioning staff can turn him into Luis Robert 2. Not likely.
