To put Giolito ahead of Lopez is absolutely absurd to me.

list without notes:

1. Yoan Moncada, 2B

2. Eloy Jimenez, OF

3. Michael Kopech, RHP

4. Lucas Giolito, RHP

5. Luis Robert, OF

6. Reynaldo Lopez, RHP

7. Blake Rutherford, OF

8. Alec Hansen, RHP

9. Dylan Cease, RHP

10. Zack Collins, C

The fact that guys like Dunning and Burger aren't even in the top 10 just shows how loaded the farm really is. Should be fun to monitor these guys the next couple years.

Yeah and per Longenhagen's comments Hansen's rise wasn't just about Fulmer falling.

EL really likes Moncada Jimenez and Kopech. I think if you ask him, he has the next 3 guys (Giolito/Lopez/Robert) in the next tier, so I wouldn't put too much stock in the Giolito over Lopez.

Longenhagen definitely seems to like his tier system more as being an accurate representation of his thoughts, but fangraphs writers gotta be prolific, so here's a top 10

Giolito has an entire arsenal of plus pitches. Lopez doesn't.

Personally I would put Hansen ahead of all but Kopech.

The thing with Giolito is when you catch him on a good day he looks overwhelmingly dominant. The hitters don't stand a chance. Those have been far and few between, but it leaves an impression when you catch him on the right day. Maybe it takes him a few years to really figure it out, but those flashes of dominance leave a lasting impact.

Definitely sounds like Gavin Floyd

It's funny because EL is the low man on Cease but seeing him in top ten made me realize how little I think about him. Cease is a really good prospect that would have been our like #2 guy last year.

I can't because of proximity to majors. Hansen and Giolito are the same age. Giolito is likely starting for the Sox on Monday. Hansen is at High A. Just more risk involved.

I still had Giolito ahead of Lopez

Fangraphs' top 10 is the same as MLB Pipeline's, with a slight variation in the order.

Giolito is Floyd, Lopez is a harder throwing Vazquez

You know I think when 2018 is reranked FG may be the high guy on him. Blake will have to rework his swing to get more balls in the air, Longenhagen liked his swing to be able to hit for power but he said Rutherford seem uninterested in doing anything but hitting grounders to all fields.

Or Collins, or Burger....

Not sure why Collins should be included.

I could buy into that comp. Vazquez almost had too much movement on his pitches, and would go through stretches where he couldn't locate and consistently throw for strikes. Lopez seems to have ridiculous amounts of movement even on his fastball.

I was always convinced Vazquez had some confidence issues. He would go through long stretches where he just didn't want to challenge hitters.

2:52 The Ghost of Joe Crede: Do the White Sox still have the best system once Moncada and Lopez “graduate”?

2:52 Dan Szymborski: I believe so, but close

Isn't Delmonico's offensive potential basically what Rutherford's is?

Yes but Delmonico is a DH
