You think Kershaw opts out of the next 2 years of $65 M and goes for a longer term contract at a similar or slightly less AAV ?

That would be my guess yeah is this is Kershaw's last shot to guarantee $100 million+ more in career earnings.

You seem to think you know a lot more about the business of professional baseball than you actually know.

If thats the case then we are in agreement . I understood it fully and I stand by my support of the post.

  • Based on your recent posts, I would say this is accurate.

I believe so. He probably won't top the AAV but more money overall.

Wow.. although it's not too surprising with a bunch of young guys.

Yeah in all sports, cheating is very common I would imagine. It's one of the reasons why Josh Fields wanted to walk away from baseball a year or two into his career if I recall.

I didn't do a deep dive on this but where did it say he cheated on her....while he probably did why couldn't he just have broken up and that's that?

You sure it wasn't because he was a lousy player?

A year or two into his career? Yep, I'm pretty sure. Plus he was outspoken about it at the time.

Was it the pressures he did not like, or the fact that his teammates weren't faithful and it bothered him?

Her instagram comments with the pictures in the article made it fairly obvious.

Not to mention her deleting almost every single picture of him or him and her together.

Meanwhile Ricky says you have to take advantage of home-field advantage.

Girls should be careful not to give their hearts to young ballplayers. It gets messy.

Josh Fields wanted to quit baseball because so many teammates were cheating on their SOs? Or because he couldn't stop cheating?

I remember Fields being a very religious man. I thought it was the profanity in the clubhouse that bothered him?

Well he didn't walk away after one or two years, despite what he claimed, so it obviously wasn't a big enough deal

No but that's not what my initial point was. Just that cheating is all over sports and a common thing.

I think it was that and being around the unfaithfulness of other players and stuff. But you are right about the religious part.

4 series left- I’ll take 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, 2-2, and whatever pick it is, fine.

I no longer hold this attitude. ?

Lose tonight.

Cordell and Engel need to be 1-2 in the lineup today and tomorrow. Finish the job Sox

Fun fact, Matt Davidson hit more HRs this season at Kauffman Stadium than at Guaranteed Rate Field.

I would say Matt has been a disappointment. 3B open and not qualified to compete. Let's move on.

Opening Day, 2019 at KC. Watch him be a Royal taking Rodon deep. That would be so baseball.

100 is such a nice round number, thank god this disaster is done.
