You should like Shields.  Instead of keeping that pesky prospect they went for it and picked up a vet who knows how to win.  How great does that look now.

Ha, a different team would plunk Contreras for that clown show down the line. We won't, but a different team would.

Plunk him for what?? Don’t throw sh***y pitches.

He's the Gordon Beckham of pitchers.

Dude wil never make it in the major if he doesn’t learn to throw strikes.

His stuff has just crazy movement.  If he could ever figure out where his pitches are going he could be dangerous.  Too bad he hasn't shown much progress there.

I was going to post the same observation before he gave up the grand slam.

Let him pitch a few more weeks in the rotation and then see if he can have any success in the pen. If not, you trade him in a bust for bust transaction this offseason

Wait... the swear word filters don’t work like they did on the old site?

Yeah, I don't think that's the case at all. I think he just isn't a very good pitcher.

Yep since really day one in the org, he looked like a different pitcher than he was at Vandy. It was just a bad pick, period

Can't see Fulmer at this point being a starter in 2 years.

I wonder if he gets out of this if they call schwarber out on his non check swing

Inability to throw strikes makes Gio and Fulmer gas cans.

For what reason, and who are you bringing up?

His command is not there and plug Santiago in there.

To quote the illustrious Ralph Garr “ boys, this game is ovah!”

Fulmer is a useful example if you've ever wondered what it would look like if you called up a decent prospect who was just figuring out AA/AAA to the majors. You can see a MLB pitcher in there for short bursts of a few innings but he just can't keep it together long enough. Question will be how the Sox choose to deal with their developmental failure here. Fulmer might be able to work through it in MLB but it will take a lot of mental toughness; it's a very risky strategy but all we've done with his career so far is gamble with it.

I hadn't been in favor of demoting him, but if I were running the show I'd probably have Fulmer and Kopech swap places at this point.

Sox will come back to win 14-13

What does that accomplish for the 2018 White Sox?

Scrape out two more wins for some reason

They might not score 14 runs the next 5 games.

Fulmer currently belongs nowhere in the vicinity of a Major League baseball mound.

That's really not exclusive to Gio and Fulmer.

Yep Lopez command hasn't exactly been great

I mean it's not even an emotional thought, Santiago is warming up because the Sox need someone to eat innings that Fulmer isn't. I understand he needs to work through stuff but him being BP in the majors isn't doing much for him or Sox either.if anything it's killing the bullpen.
