For the latter, I guess because he isn't the stereotypical "slugging 3B that can't handle the position". He has plenty of athleticism and a good enough arm, he just doesn't seem to have the hands or twitch reflexes for the position. But he isn't slow or unathletic, so why not LF? Maybe not on the Yankees, but somewhere.

For the former, uh, I guess, look at the guy. He's huge and has past injury problems. It's only a matter of time, really.

When he's on, Minaya is fine but when he's off he gets lit up like a pinball machine.  This is one of those times he gets lit up like a pinball machine.

He's been pitching better lately but he did pitch 1.2 last night so hence the question Why why why ?

Listen, Minaya isn’t my fav but every manager looks trash with crap bullpens. We could have had Avilan there or Hamilton, instead we have a bad, old single a pitcher and Burr up. Burr could be good but it’s the 8th.

This would be a superb game now in the context of a “rebuild” to come back and win.

Renteria is like John Fox. Good for a losing team but not the one you will start winning with. The Cubs ditched him and became a powerhouse and so should we.
